@@80sMadeConsumer Indicator has a great Gene Wilder/Richard Pryor box set featuring STIR CRAZY, SEE NO EVIL, HERE NO EVIL and ANOTHER YOU. Too bad it doesn't have SILVER STREAK, but still....two of those three movies are great!

@ I did pick up that box set. And last month I Imported Silver Streak from Sweden. We did have a Blu-ray long ago oop now.

That would be awesome if they did. The biggest one for me was License to Drive I know it's a Fox title, but still the cheapest I see that anchor bay Blu-ray is 50-60 bucks and usually around 100. I don't mind imports but that one I get the feeling as soon as I get the German version we could get a 4k.

Those are some cool pickups. I want to hear your review of humanoids before I decide to buy. I also didn't know that you can purchase the security stickers, now I know to watch out for those.

I get new Amazons with slip cover corners scruffed , steepbooks with dents chips. Im sure Amazon sends pre owned returns.

@@Reggaebeatman I’m not a slip cover guy, and when a standard studio release shows up with a damaged slip cover, it sucks the joy out of a day one purchase.

Same, sometimes if I'm trying to stay in budget I will preorder from Amazon incase it sells out just because they charge when it ships. Other than that anywhere else is a better experience.

I’m not big on steelbooks either but on the occasion that one comes out that I want, I dread ordering them from Amazon or Walmart because of their shipping methods. I tried beating the system once by ordering 3 of the same steelbooks with intentions of returning 2 but they called my bluff and used a giant bubble mailer to ship them all.

I ordered Creepshow Season 4 from Amazon on Blu Ray. It arrived unsealed and with a crack in the case. Tbf though out of the many orders I have placed over the years I ha e only had a handful of issues.

That sucks, I get more damaged items in the past couple of years and seems like that got worse when Best Buy stopped selling movies. I think it mainly has to do with the area I live in and the high turn over military town. Everything from Customer service to restaurants there is a lack of quality that I can get an hour away in any direction. Almost like why bother someone new will come along and spend their money no need to keep them coming back!

Where did you buy the Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, from? I’ve never seen someone try to work so hard to pass a used movie off as new. I think you are right. That sticker seal is after market. I’ve gotten a handful of movies this past year from Amazon, and they don’t have the typical packaging. They have a cheap vacuum form shrink wrap. Really annoying. They should sell it as used and in good condition. Such a scam

It came from Amazon. Very disappointing and it’s happening more often as I’m trying to upgrade or add older movies to the collection. I do miss being able to buy movies from Best Buy and Circuit City. I would never condone it, but it’s does seem like a lot of work to sell the movie around the used price anyway. I would expect something like this if it was an OOP expensive movie. Just weird.

@ wow, that is super weird. I agree. I miss other retailers. Now we have another hurdle to leap as collectors. Buying titles that are a few years old, knowing they are most likely used and being sold to us as new :/

Man I hope Jackie gets there by Friday too. Hahaha no razor…. Plenty of food and a big old water filter! Honestly the Dolby Vision is probably a slight difference maybe not even noticeable. If it was any other film I wouldn’t have picked it up.

I like a good romcom,i have most on dvd and a few on blu ray,my favorite is ghosts of girlfriends past,i also collect Sandra Bullock movies on blu ray if possible,includes a few good ones.

I dont think Universal in the US wants to release any Cosby film due to all thats gone on with him. I have the German blu mediabook, had to win in bidding war and cost me over $50. How much was yours? Humanoids from the deep is actually quite good and I've bought it twice from Scream and plan to upgrade when thats on sale. Its actually quite sleazy and gory and has a lot of scenes of the slimy creatures which look great mauling attractive naked women, along with some eco horror, nature vs industrial and racism themes, actually 1 of the best Corman 80s films. Theres a mid 90s remake only on DVD thats not as good that may have been a TV film, scifi channel used to show it in early 2000s.

I see your point and that is probably a factor, but that started in 2014 and Leonard part 6 is horrible and was released in 2017. I got mine through German Amazon and with shipping and tax I only spent $26. I enjoyed Humanoids from the Deep, and if you have the previous blu-ray no need to re buy it, at the time it had a brand new HD transfer so probably done at 2k and will look pretty solid.

Invasion is the second Remake from 2007 of The Invasion of the bodysnatchers, and yes is pretty cool, but i preffer the 1978 first remake Highly recommended and of Course im a huge fan of the 1957 Original a must own too, Humanoids from the deep awesome and not a fan of 47 Ronin, Drive

I’m shocked at the interest Invasion has gotten by folks. Reminds me of the Blackhat interest (that one was also garbage). Invasion is atrocious. It’s so bad they brought in the Wachowskis to rewrite it and direct it uncredited. Didn’t matter, the damage was done.

@ to each their own, of course. It was in the can for 2 years. In fact, Daniel Craig got the phone call he was going to be James Bond while shooting this and had to leave for a few days for that press junket. It was a mess. Lol
