6 months, What are you crazy? Car shows/Cruise ins, in my neck of the woods (Boston area) start in April. I'm praying we will be able to have them this year. We had a few last year. But then someone complained to the board of health, and all shows were cancelled. There is a really big cruise in near Foxboro Stadium (Patriots Stadium) that brings in over a thousand cars every other Thursday, from April to October. Then there are a couple more near by that bring in around a hundred cars or less. But in any event, can't wait to get my 57 Chevy Gasser, back out there. Keeping all of my fingers and toes crossed. Lol. Thanks for entertaining us. Looking forward to the next one

I said six months because we will probably still be shut down by then. Everyone wants to get back to normal, but even without being told to, we know we shouldn't be out spreading this virus.

hahaha, even my wife shouted at the video. Hey, I make these mistakes so others don't do the same. If I just edit this stuff out then we don't learn.

I think you should consider your roots, Make a couple plexi glass windows that Velcro to the inside like some old euro roadsters. Leave the real glass window work for when you get your final set of doors, hopefully later this year. Just my two cents. I need to get off my computer and do some sanding today, weather is tolerable today.

Hey Dave, nice work! Was thinking about summertime when there will be hot coolant flowing through the heater core. Don't know if you're aware of this but Fords, for many years, used a vacuum operated "heater control valve" that would shut off the flow when there was no need for heat. I know they were used in the '70s. Funny thing, my old '65 F100 had a manual gate valve, mounted on the wheel well that you closed/opened/regulated manually!

If you haven't yet, start collecting the stuff you need for the door windows, tracks, lift mechanisms, etc. Now is a good time to spend inside on the computer. 😉

Great job!! When you get the door windows ya might be running it on low. maybe later you might have to put a relay on the power in. because fan motors tend to pull a lot of amps and all that is going through your switch. just make sure the switch doesn't get hot when using it for long periods of time. That car keeps getting nicer and nicer everytime you work on it.

I was thinking the same thing if it will get hot and burn out either the speed reducer or the fan motor just keep eye on it don't need any fires yel fall can't get here quick enough for me

Very neat, is that a pwm controller?

Is the toggle switch for the blower control necessary? I couldn't hear the blower fan running when the knob was turned all the way to the left. To me the toggle switch seems redundant and the blue LED is way to bright/annoying. I think I would have just used a rheostat switch to control the blower fan speed.
@ScottRods3 жыл бұрын
The blue light is not nearly as bright as it looks on the video. Must be the camera exagerating an led bulb. The reason I left the switch installed, is that if I find a speed setting I like, then I can just switch the motor off and know it will be in the correct setting when I switch it back on.
@philipcontreras93063 жыл бұрын
Well, it's your choice of course (regarding keeping the toggle switch), but your stated reasoning seems a little odd to me. If you just want to remember the preferred position of the speed control knob you could just put a paint dot on the dash to align the knob's pointer with... whatever makes you happy though, it's you hot rod after all.

Are you going to a/c it !? Does it get hot enough up there LOL

Maybe one day. Yes, we have climate extremes here. minus 25 (-13f) in winter, plus 35 (95f) in summer.

Is there a temperature control on the heater?
@robshipman86913 жыл бұрын
Dont think so it´s direct piped from engine in and out of matrix with no restricter fitted hence the fan controller...

Amasing you can read chinese writing on controler...did you not once say you delivered chinese takeaways if so it shows...lol
