Received my SBTR017 a couple of days ago. It is indeed gorgeous! In my sample, the chapter ring is well aligned. While the dimensions certainly don't lie, it actually seems smaller than I had expected. No regrets so far.

I like your observations on this watch. It really is a beauty! What I would like is that you find a way to hold the watch still. The image was bouncing all over the screen. I didn't see the misaligned chapter ring as my eyes were becoming misaligned!! Keep up the good work.

Very nice time piece, I like the green face with the gold color on the sub-dial rings. Also you can add that this watch has a power reserve indicator, that means when the battery is low the second hand will jump every 2 seconds instead of 1 second. Thanks for the video.

Very nice review. I own this model this exact color… (I’m in Shiga Japan 🇯🇵) there is different colors and they also come with different color dials and leather strap or bracelets. If anyone is interested on buying one I wouldn’t mind helping you to buy your very own, due the fact that the Seiko dealer is 2km away from my home as long as you pay the shipping fees and of course the watch itself.

I have a pulsar chrono which I bought around 5 years ago which has the same functions as this but it has a conventional quartz movement and a white dial but the quality looks similar to this and it was a LOT cheaper,that said a very attractive watch especially the green dial.

Hey there! Glad you found my voice so calming- I can tell you this is only after coffee. All jokes aside! the indices are glued on these watches and for the price point, you really shouldn't settle for one that requires work. However, they could repair it with adhesive...but they may just charge you for a third of the watch, which may not be worthwhile. I found mine on eBay, from a japanese retailer that was very reputable, I would try my luck there. I hope this helps! Glad to have you around!

I have moved it on for another chronograph that was recently released (rather controversial Zenith) but I credit this seiko for pulling me into chronographs. I loved wearing it. Very light and it the green and gold reminds me of Lotus livery in a way. It sits more on the middle ground to dressy to casual. I paired mine on a rally strap for a casual look

It has the thinner bezel of the pre-1987 Rolex Daytona with the case size/thickness (and crown protectors) of the 2024 Daytona. This watch beats the Seiko "Daytona Mod" in every way. This watch is a WIN-WIN all around! 🏆🏆🏆

Very nice and the size is excellent. Some things that bug me are the short chrono hand and poor crown fitment between the guards. I'll stick with my Spirit SBPP001.

It astonishes me how virtually no one critiques the VK63 movement. A workhorse beater no doubt but the 24h subdial at 3:00 is utterly useless and completely destroys the utility of a three-register chronograph.

The alignment issue has an explanation, on the caseback it says "Movement Japan, Cased in China". Fortunately my SBTR017 had accurate alignment, lucky shot ^^

Seiko for me has gone downhill raising prices for not even entry level. No thanks. As of the last two years I’ve fallen off that seiko train. I’d rather save up and get a decent watch with a better movement. All the old seikos are worth the money but not anymore.
