they had no black... this is where red meets the blue to mix a small layer of dark purple...

Wish I could post a picture here, but if you check out 0:29 it gives you a good idea of what they look like in the light. In person, that layer has a dark grey coloration to it. Purple would look nice though, and there are other sets out there that do have that instead of the transparent black (grey) layer.
