Been to Japan once, November yung flight namin and talagang research to the max. I booked our ticket ng sale sa cebu pac, 2800 lang, then August pa lang, nagplan and nagplot na ako para macheck of JR Pass is necessary. We ended up not purchasing it. Kasi super mahal, like 14k for unlimited 7 days and as you know, if mag USJ ka, whole day ka na dun. I personally spent, 60k on an 8 day trip, all in. We stayed in hostels na I must say, super ganda (it's my first time), nag bus kamo from Tokyo to Osaka. Ate breakfast on convenience stores, ate lunch na almost meryenda time na sa mga restaurant and dinner sa mga street foods and conbini again. Yung 60k ko includes, RT airfare Manila Tokyo Osaka Manila, 20 kls plus 40 kls na baggage, overnight bus from Tokyo to Osaka, 20k na shopping/pasalubong, 3700 plus na pamasahe sa mga subway/tren, food, USJ, visa fee and Sim Card. Kaya mag Japan basta magplano maigi. Magresearch at magtanong pag kailangan. 😍 booled another flight for October naman this year.❤❤❤

Jennifer Sangalang hi po. We are planning to go to Japan this coming sept and i just saw your comment here. Na amaze ako sa budget nyo po. Kasi nag research din po ako sa rail pass ang mahal nasa 13-14k pesos 7days. Ask ko lang po paano po ba mag take ng bus? I mean do they have unlimited pass? Ang itinerary ko po is osaka-tokyo- numazu city yung may king crab po then back to osaka for our last day. Btw, 6days po yung travel namin. I hope i can get a reply. Thank you
@sangalangjennifer165 жыл бұрын
@@LaseraPhilippines Hi maam! To be honest maam, if 6 days ka lang, I wont suggest na mag Osaka-Tokyo-Numazu-Osaka ka. I wont even suggest na mag Tokyo pa kayo. Save it for another visit, especially na ang ticket nyo po pala is RT MNL KIX. Sa Kansai region (Osaka, Kyoto, Nara) pa lang po kulang na ang 6 days. And sa Tokyo pa lang bitin na bitin ang 2 days. BUT, if your group really want to proceed, I would suggest to check and calculate po if its practical to go back to Osaka para lang bumalik ng Manila. I mean, bus fare po is 2500 one way from Tokyo to Osaka via Willer bus. That is overnight bus po ah, from 11pm to 9am. Yes, you can save sa accomodation pero iba po ang pahinga sa kama, kahit hostel lang yun. Lalo na at 6 days, all day, non stop ka lakad kayo. Mejo summer pa that time so imagine yung pagod mo. Hehehe yung bus po iba ang bayad sa city to city like above, and iba po if within the city lang. Like in Osaka and Kyoto, they both have a pass na unlimited ride na. Sa Tokyo, you have to choose a hotel malapit sa subway station (subway, not train) para makakuha ka nung unlimited subway pass. Super cheap, 500 plus lang for 48 hours, unlimited ride na yun. Almost lahat ng attraction, accesible ng subway except Odaiba (may Gundam Statue). Madami pa ako gusto ibihay na tip kaso ang hirap dito sa YT. If you want message mo po ako sa messenger. 😊

If you really dont need to use Shinkansen for at least a round trip, I recommend to not buy the JR pass unli 7 day. I bought this pass because from Tokyo I want to visit Osaka and Kyoto, so it's really convenient and efficient plus you can ride the Shinkansen. But, if you are only roaming around Tokyo, get the subway unli pass.

Airbnb houses are as expensive as 3 star hotels in Japan and sometimes more expensive in Tokyo. Hotels in neighboring prefectures such as Chiba, Kanagawa and Saitama are much cheaper although they're a bit far from the center. My trip last January for 11 nights and 12 days costed me around 22k php on 3-4 stars hotels. The technique is to wait for promos in Expedia or other booking websites.

I've been to Japan for five times and I usually budget JPY10,000/PhP5000 per day for food, shopping and miscellaneous expenses excluding flights and accommodation which I pay prior to the travel. Don't forget the travel insurance. For shopping and nightlife bars, I super recommend Shimokitazawa near Shibuya.

My budget whenever i go is 50-60k for 8 days that includes flight, bullet trains, and attractions. She is very relevant and i just want to add more info. Holidays and weekend prices vary with weekdays. So have your activities on weekdays. For a beginner, i suggest seeing osaka and tokyo for 8 days para you have general idea of japan and enjoy the major attractions at 50-60k. Then on your next trip your travel becomes lesser expensive as you pick a place you want to explore further plus you can see other areas. Because accommodation is not cheap. This is especially for travelers who doesnt have so much expertise with train rides and navigations being first time travelers. There are plenty of hotels in namba and ginza that are lesser than airbnb with good amenities if there are only one or 2 of you but airbnb is great for groups/ or you stay longer than 4 days in one area. I got to see till sapporo. There is one more way to get unlimited transpo aside from the subway week pass. More trips for you Thea, keep vlogging.

Yep if you can get Haneda much much better. But some budget airlines only land in Narita so since this is a budget video then yes I would rather land at Narita and save on airfare than Haneda. Afterall the train commute from Narita vs Haneda won't make up the price difference on riding a budget airline vs a full service...

Hey guys.... I don't need to give a complete itenerary but I can tell you this. There are quite a few ways to save you money on the trip to Japan. For lodging I used the capsule similar to what they have at the NAIA T3 only nicer, cleaner and well organized. I bought a package deal JAPANESE RAIL ticket that was good for using the trains and buses. I ate at the market and bought BENTO food and drinks. I hope the couple of these pointers will help you a bit on your trip to Japan. You should make all your flight and lodging reservations. In short do not use a third party.

It is true that the standard of living in Japan is not within the reach of a standard traveler. that's right! you have to plan for your travels.. i spent around 120k for only 9days!..my vacation in Japan was an impulsive decision.. i had a 2 weeks leave from work and i don't know where to go lol.. i applied for the visa 3 weeks before my leave and booked my ticket 4 days before my flight.. kaya 30k ung ticket ko sa PAL lol na question pa ako sa immigration sa Philippines kung bakit daw ilang days ago ko lang binook ung ticket ko.lol..and i also stayed at different hotels din kse sa Tokyo ☹️..pero ung 150k show money is legit kse for sure maaprove ka talaga nun.. Thanks Thea for these informations..as im planning to visit Japan again.. Osaka and Kyoto this time 😊

Mine is 25k only for my show money (5 days only) 150k is too much for a one week trip.as long as your docs are complete your ok. Government employee here

I applied at Reli Tours in Makati, I submitted my docs by Monday and got a call to pick up my passport on Thursday. A lot travelers are scared to try because of this 150k show money which mostly I read and heard from most of the bloggers. I just travelled last November of 2018 FYI. Food is expensive in Japan but with my 20k I still managed to buy Coach bag and a cute necklace😊 I just roamed around the City in Fukuoka and visits some museums. Hostel and RT are booked ahead of time and during peso fare. Thanks anyway for this very detailed vlog

Hi Eva! Thank you for sharing your experience! 😊 Hopefully the info you provided can help out some of the viewers. 🧡 My friend’s mom works for the embassy and that’s what she told me - safe amount ang above 100k. But of course may iba’t ibang aspects yung inaassess. Ang kailangan lang naman maprove is you can finance your stay in Japan and hindi mag TNT. I’m sure it helped that you’re a government employee since stable ang work. They’re more strict daw pag yung employment is a smaller company/start up/SMEs. In which case, kailangan makabawi sa other aspect such as show money. Anyway the show money should support your itinerary provided. If you’re planning to do more and stay in the more pricey areas of japan, your bank statement should be able to show your financial capacity 😊

Hi miss Eva! Is it really true? 25k show money is okay? If it is true then i will really go to Osaka to meet my GF there. She already visited me in Cebu 2nd week of December 2018. So now it is my turn to go there in Osaka. She is waiting for me there. That's why i am so worried about the 150k show money.

Thea I agree it depends on someone's itinerary and employment status. Dami ko kasi nabasa na blogs ganun kaya I just tried a 25k as a show money, an experiment Lang to see if Ma grant Visa ko anyways 3k RT ticket ko kaya no hurt feelings if madeny. I just visited museums with free entrance and park. This is in Fukuoka.

25k of pocket money might be little risky kasi my friend was denied with that same amount in her bank account. Maybe it depends on your salary din and if you apply during off/peak seasons

Thank you! You may check out american tourister. A lot of people are not aware that samsonite owns that brand, lower cost lang sila and mas pang masa ang market. Matibay sya, yung large luggage ko which i bought in 2014 for around 7.5k is okay parin hanggang ngayon. Mas marami pa yun napuntahan na magandang countries kesa sakin haha - 2x japan, korea, 2x europe, 1x malaysia. Nakapag US narin yata yun 😂
