As a disorganised, 55 year old who still needs plenty of packed lunch ideas for taking to work, thank you Emily! I will be trying the lunchables and the turkey roll ups. As an aside, I am humbled by you/your community's positive stance on paying off the student's lunch money bill and for you packing extra snacks etc in case one of your daughter's friends needs something to eat. A positive and very loving stance to take. Your girls are a credit to you. Love to you (and Brooke of course). See you again soon.

So emotional listening about the schools not going to let seniors graduate or kids move on to the next grade due to negative accounts for school lunches. Everyone deserves to have a meal. I remember being in school and not having enough money for a lunch tray, but enough for a snack. (She asked me if I wanted a tray, I said I didn't have enough money) I remember our lunch ladies in middle school and highschool who would let you get the lunch and say it's ok with a wink 💝 I hold those dear ladies in my heart bc we all deserve to have a meal. They never made a scene or made us feel any negative way. Thank you to your community for rallying to pay those accounts. 💝

I’m a retired teacher and I can tell you that teachers appreciate you opening difficult packages for your children. Lunch time at school can be chaotic especially when you have 20-30 students and it helps when your children can do as much as possible by themselves.

I am a hands on Grandma with four grandsons all under the age of 7. My daughter and I learned last year with the older one starting kindergarten. We were wondering why he wasn't eating. We sent him with his favorite lunchables and snacks that we know he loves so it was confusing and concerning as to why he wasn't eating. It turns out that it was exactly what you suggested. He couldn't open the packages himself and was too shy to ask for help. So glad we that got figured out. He has since decided to give the school lunches a try which in our school district are free. I have two other grandsons entering kindergarten this year. So exciting! 🙂

Great kids! As an ex teacher I definitely appreciate parents who pack an extra snack or two to share with other kids, it's heartbreaking to see a child with just a bag of chips or something for lunch, or have to get the required school lunch of like... sunflower butter on graham crackers. It's even sadder when you ask the kid and they have that conditioned response of "It's ok, I wasn't that hungry". I've paid out of my own pocket for kids to get a hot lunch many times. Bless you for giving back to the community like that!!!

Those bagged noodles seem extra starchy to me, Or maybe it’s because they are cooked in the soup rather than separate and drained. I have that issue too. Maybe just more “broth”. Still looked delicious! I now want to make wedding soup. When we get home from camping I think.

The soup thickened up because you really only needed one bag of pasta. But in my mind, that's PERFECT. I love a thick soup. And wedding soup, in particular, is supposed to be a soup that MARRIES the ingredients you have. That's why it might have meatballs or chunks of chicken or both. It might have spinach, but actually kale is classic (and really it was the only thing I ever had kale in until kale became the hot new veggie trend) but it can literally use whatever veggies you have on hand. That's the best thing about soup. It has no rules. What do you got? Throw it in the pot!
@TeresaDMouth Жыл бұрын
This was awesome. All looked good. I don't measure when cooking and your soup looked amazing. We eat soup all year round here. I make a pantry Taco soup with whatever meat is left over. Chicken or pork roast. I now make a batch in stock pot so i freeze in Gallon bag for busy days and quick suppers. ❤

You were talking about peeling your carrots 🥕.... Dollar Tree sells ergonomic peelers in their kitchen area. I really like mine, and it's well made for only $1.25. I've enjoyed watching you go above and beyond to make lunches that are healthy and your kids will eat. Question: I saw the tops you cut off your strawberries 🍓 and wondered if you save your scraps for Brooke's chickens or if you keep a mulch pile for your garden? Your little girl crying because of leg pain reminded me of my legs hurting when I was a kid, too. It started when I was about 6 years old. Mom brushed it off as growing pains too. If you notice it happens when weather changes or rain 🌧 is expected have her see the doctor. I'm 5'2" and my leg pain never went away. It's awful. At the end of your video the girls are so adorable! I hope chicken and rice was a hit for lunch!!! If you dry out the thermos and let the moisture dissipate, your croissants won't get soggy. You're such a great mom! I hope you get time to do field trips and other things with the kids. I enjoyed it when my boys were little.

Love your appearances on Brookes channel. Worchestershire sauce is pronounced: "Woosta-sheer" sauce. Some Brits also call it "Woosta-sauce" - or "brown sauce".

Brown sauce is something completely different. “Woostershure” sauce is the very liquid sauce. Brown sauce is sort of like an HP sauce with the consistency of ketchup.

@@tenthousanddaysofgratitude I know, riiight?☺ ....Which is why the mention - from some British YT'er - rather surprised me. To "confuse" matters further... Here, in Denmark, our traditional sauce is roux-based and dyed brown with a VERY concentrated (very BITTER-tasting!!! ...Of course I had to try and Taste it!🤣) "caramel"-colour, wich looks black in the container. Look up "Brun sovs" (even made by "Knorr"-brand).
