I have 6 sons and 1 daughter smack Dab in the middle. I love these boys and her friends.. the looks on their faces!! They literally call my boys and say, " hey.. Your mom cooking?? " My son says she cooks every night! 15 minutes later 4 boys show up at the door.... So the cost of dinner is a spotless kitchen by the 4 boys and my son! 😂

In my new bride, non-cook days, I made chili with 1-2 cans ranch style beans, 1 pound of browned ground meat, some dried minced onion, A package of chili mix and a can of tomato soup. My husband preferred it to any of the fancy kinds I would make once I learned how to cook.

It's been a rough year and a half in our home, even though it's just us two. With a broken femur +a hip replacement (then a dislocation + a fall= 2 more surgeries in the hospital aug& sept)so hubs has taken over the cooking. Trying to keep it quick and easy. It seems like yesterday you made it to the 100,000 subscribers, and your numbers are going up quickly. I enjoy your channel, I adore your kids. Ryder has really changed, I remember when you would say he's, basically, a critic and really turning into a great young man. All your boys, Dusty, and yourself show so much love for each other. Good menus!!!! I appreciate your help. I started cooking when I was about 8-9. Cooked big family meals while at home. Smaller meals after leaving home. But always had enough leftovers to feed a couple more people if anyone dropped in. My problem now is. I am 69 years old and am widowed with a rare visitor. I find it almost impossible to think of something I can fix just for me. Everything is unbalanced and I really need it to be balanced because I am diabetic. By watching you, I can figure out something that would be simple to fix just for me and it looks delicious too. Thank you, Brooke . By the way, I love you and your family.

I guess you can feed five with your chili because you add a lot of beans. For me, I like a lot of meat and not minced up but chunky with onions, peppers and diced tomatoes with green chilies…..yum! I can eat mine in three days by myself. If I were cooking for all that testosterone in your house I’d have your biggest pot filled to the brim…learning from my mom who had three boys and my sister. We grew up in the 50’s so money was scarce but she kept our bellies full. Love your videos and how you cook on a budget. Lots of ideas for me.

I love that night gown..I have the exact same one! A fun video idea would be to make 5 lists of foods. Like one has 6 meat options, another has 6 grain options, then 6 veggie options, 6 dairy options, 6 prepackaged options..each family member gets a random list and secretly selects one of their 6. Then you get to create a meal with the chosen items! Lol

Chicken and noodles is now officially on the grocery list. Wasn’t going to buy chicken because I have home canned chicken but rotisserie chickens are on sale at Walmart so why not grab a couple and use the chicken and make a little homemade chicken broth from the bones. Yummy. Thanks Brooke, fall has definitely set in here and I’m ready for comfort foods. 🤗

@michellezadianwilliams53615 күн бұрын
Oh my goodness $36 you’ve got to be kidding me! Ladies google Birria tacos on KZbin there’s tons of recipes I particularly like “views on the road”, it’s really just chili powder unless you wanna boil the dried chilies and purée them. You can use just chili powder and a bunch of other spices that aren’t that expensive like Ginger tiny bit of cinnamon little tiny bit of clove gives up the unique flavor and other than that it’s just onion and garlic and nothing whatever amount to $36.
