That SRM is interesting, but I'd really like to know what the steels are in the blade. One source says the center section is 140Cr, a high hardness / low corrosion resistance tool steel. Oh, and the one thing that Sencuts are missing that Civivi have always had is a D-shaped pivot barrel. It's annoying to have to open knives like that.
@gueomduduto2 ай бұрын
A knife vlogger in china test srm 261m with 140cr by making cuts on red bull can. It can go up to 56 cuts before it cant slice paper cleanly. The performance is on par with with premium steels m390, magnacut, cruwear.. Its too bad srm dont know how to promote their knife properly..

My favorite beater budget EDC though is the CRKT M16 01KS (framelock, all steel handles) or the 01-KZ (double lock and zytel non-slip handles). Both in 8CR and hella easy to maintain due to having a flathead pivot screw and jimping on the screw, the latter which allows you to use your freaking thumb to adjust the pivot IF NEEDED!

Correct me if I'm wrong, DCA, but isn't the Kizer Mini-Grouper the second attempt to bring the "Compression" style top liner lock to the budget arena? Vosteed has the more expensive RSKOAS and Psyop lines with it at $250, but they also have the same style lock on the more budget-minded Raccoon model for $65. I know their production has been a bit off with most of those knives, but I also know that at least a few actually hit the market because I saw Seth advertise the top-liner lock version of the Raccoon on your May 2nd New Knives video and bought one from you on May 3rd. I'm sad to see the exact model I bought now says it's discontinued (green micarta, black-coated blade) but the satin-bladed version as well as several other colors of micarta handles are available even though they're delayed. At least a few inexpensive top-liner lock Raccoons went out, because I was luck enough to have gotten one. Vosteed's action on the Raccoon is as smooth as that on Kizer's mini-Grouper.

Can you please do a video on folders with full convex grinds and secondary convex’s? It’s extremely hard to find folders with full convex or secondary convex and from my experience the convex edge has the best geometry for a very tough edge along with extremely edge retention over flat or hollows. As far as I am aware only Rockstead (out of almost everyone’s budget, the fallkniven plx I believe also very expensive and the svord peasant knife are the only one, the peasant is pretty much the only one that’s affordable and I would be comfortable using it for all knife tasks but it’s a slip joint, lacks a pocket clip and is kinda larger, and the legendary opinel is fragile and not designed for anything other than light slicing tasks and they kind of lock but also lack a pocket clip, the rocksteads are works of art and they are the sharpest out the box knives I’ve ever seen, starting at 1k puts it out of the user category, the fallkniven is also a work of art at I think they start at like 400, and they lack a clip and they might be a liner lock but again not many of us would use for daily edc or light outdoor tasks. Please help us with your extensive knowledge and great wisdom, if you could please show us some more options that would be awesome.
