There actually is a huge difference, but as long as you dont plan on recording vocals for music or anything else that requires high quality recordings, the tonor q9 is an amazing deal and anything above it is an overkill.

i've recently broken my hyper x Solocast and am now looking for a cheap mic and this is by far way better than a name brand 60$ microphone that comes with no boom arm, pop filter, shock mount, or mic cover for 10$ less and they sound virtually the same. The only difference is that the Solocast has a tap to mute which is extremely convenient. amazing video and thanks a lot!

once you run the eq they are super comparable as you said as raw sound its a tad more muffled but looking into this mic only thing is i need something that wont pick up my keyboard clicks and mouse clicks

In my opinion the Q9 has better sound since its not too loud or too quiet and the Rode is a little too loud but overall the mic sounds great I just bought it and its def worth the $50 for streaming.

@@angeldoki its a pretty good mic, youre going to need voicemeeter though, i doubt he actually used it without making any changes because it does not sound like that out of the box. it also cuts at times When in a discord call if you arent close enough to it, but i dont mind because im not prioritizing the quality of my microphone when VCing. downloading voicemeeter and playing around with settings would be your best bet and it will get you the most use out of this mic

Thank you for the great advice. I was looking for a mic that didn't break the bank and think this would be perfect. I'm not a professional podcaster and am only just getting my toes wet! Definitely will consider purchasing this although I already have a Samson CO1 mic but not sure if I should just use that instead?
