@@vixtality477 so when you say everything, do you mean all your pc sounds including system sounds? With this mixer there is no way to only play game audio and not system sounds as well. You will require a third party app to control audio sources individually. One such app is the steelseries GG. It’s free.

I have a single pc setup. I didn’t want to go dual because of the extra setup stuff. I just went a little beefy on one pc to handle all the load. I believe Fifine themselves have a video on a quick setup for dual pc’s.

Also, how will I know if my mic needs the 48v turned on or not? And if just gaming and chatting, wheres the best spot for my headset?

Thanks for the feedback! You would know if it needs the 48v if you plug it into your mixer and it doesn’t work. The product description for the mic should have also noted that somewhere. If not bad advertisement on their part. For gaming and chatting, I would always try to use the xlr mic whenever I can. But for just the headset/mic combo you want to use the headset port on the mixer.

Awesome video dude, I'm about to purchase this product from watching your review. Question though to finalize my thoughts: 1. Does Monitor Mic Slider only monitors the mic? Can you also hear the Line In and audio coming from USB C being adjusted by it? 2. Can Line In Slider adjust audio from USB C?

Great questions! So the line in slider will control the mic and line audio over monitoring so lowering the slider will lower all monitoring for all tracks. You can monitor mic and line with monitoring for sure. Line in slider will not adjust audio from usbc which would be your computer most likely.

Nice idea. Yep you can record their audio coming in if you can time that right. It will pick up all audio though unless you’re able to mute game audio.

Hey, This might be an unusual question... but in regards to a two PC setup, do you know if its possible to have simply just my discord/teamspeak audio (anything comms related) come from the 2nd PC into my Main PC? So ideally I would want stream on my main PC but just have my comms (for example discord) on my 2nd PC. Do you know if thats possible with this audio mixer?

Sounds like a bit of a tricky setup. I can’t say for sure with a straight face that it is possible. Would need to fiddle with which pc the mixer usb is going to be connected to. I think your main pc needs the data connection an aux out from you second pc to the mixer, though I don’t think comma would go both ways if your mic is connected to the mixer that way. It may be possible if you have one of the line outs to the 2nd pc from the mixer.

Great video. I reviewed the SC3 on my channel as well. What a great option for entry level gamers looking to start streaming! Just curious, I did have a tiny bit of latency in my headphones during the effects demo. Did you have any latency at all during your review?

Thanks for the feedback! I actually didn’t get any latency with any of the effects that I noticed. Though o have tested other interfaces that did have significant latency due to delay in processing. Does the latency show as well in your recorded footage?

@@TekToyzGaming I didn't have any latency until I used the voice changer and electronic autotune. Even then, it was 1/2 a second in my headphone monitor. other than that it was perfect for me. Still loved it, still think it is an absolute steal for $50.

Hello! I'm planning to buy this mixer to pair with my Fifine AM8 however I found out that when you switch to XLR cable from usb, you lose the ability to mute the mic via the sensitive touch on the mic, is there a way to be able to mute mic using sensitive touch while using the XLR mixer at the same time?

Once you are in xlr you will not be able to use the onboard buttons on the mic. They only work in usb mode.

Honestly I don’t think either of these matter. Fifine takes both sizes and a standard xlr will suffice.

Good question. As far as I can tell not on a hardware level. That was set at the manufacturing of these. It’s not one of its strong points. I do feel though at this point or soon we should get a Fifine app the way there is the Maono link software to eq devices.

Thanks for the feedback. Good questions. The headphone out does playback pc audio. If you turn the mic monitoring off it will mute all of your monitoring.

I have the Fifine AM8 mic and i love it. So this was a natural fit to upgrade to XLR. I tend to stick to same brands for maximum compatibility. its a great entry level mixer, Just wish the amp was a little louder. I have to daisy chain an extra headphone amp to make it nice and loud. Im using my Nintendo Switch on the line in and even all the way up i can barely hear it. The custom sound effects recording is horrible though, sounds like it was recorded with a string and a tin can

Not a bad mixer but if you have dual pc the mic plays as an echo coming from the mic out and line out, I was hoping to use the line out for music but I do have that problem.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Instead of using the line out from the mixer try using your capture card to move audio from the primary pc to the streaming one. Set that machine to listen to the capture card for all audio routing through the gaming pc.

There is really no loopback controls on this mixer so don’t think so. Is budget entry level so there will some features not present like that one.

Thanks for the question. There’s really no better one here. Depends really on what you want to use it for. If for gaming and streaming the sc3 will do better. If you don’t need all the voice changing and rgb features the sc1 will be better. Same goes for podcasting.

You can use any headset that is not a usb headset with this mixer. Works with headsets with built in mics as well so doesnt necessarily need a standalone mic either. Hope I understood your question correctly.

Any idea if this can provide phantom power to a mic and have the power for dt 990 pro 250 ohms? My scarlet solo cant handle the headphones so I have to use a secondary amp currently.

No this will not power high impedance headphones. You will still need to use an amp to power those. I'll add as well, most audio interfaces will not have sufficient power for high impedance headphones. And it is perfectly okay to use an audio interface and an amp. That's what I do as well as many others.

Absolutely. You can use it for ANY sound. Just add your own censor sound you would like.

Only down side to that is that you can't press and hold down the censor button/sound in order to sensor everything you want to censor. It'll have to be a set length of the censor sound that will either play too short or long for what you want to censor.

IT’s recommended by fifine that you use an xlr mic. Usb conversion may not play nice converting digital to analog. It’s really not meant for it to be used that way.

It does not. check out Fifine's comments on this below. "the XLR adapter is one way round, it won't work from USB to XLR. Next, usb mics are built to get rid of the external mixers. if you want to bypass the internal one of your USB mic, which is a quite large part of what you paid for a USB mic, then it's better not to get a USB mic in the first place. That means, if you haven't planned to upgrade your setup, just stick with the quadcast, which is pretty good enough tbh." - Fifine

Hi. If the headset has a 3.5mm Jack then can just use the headset port. If usb you will need an adapter.

Your USB mic has to have a headphone output, and then use a 3.5mm TRS audio cable to connect the headphone out on your mic to the line-in jack of the SC3.

ive only seen great reviews of this and i bought it along with a fifine mic and i cannot get it to work at all lol and the mic quality is low and my previous fifine mic that wasn't as nice sounds better. idk what I'm doing wrong but I'm so confused.

When you say you can’t get it to work at all, do you mean all of the functions even outside of mic use? Which mic did you get with this unit? If you’re using xlr then quality should not be so low unless the xlr cable is the issue.

If you’ve followed the steps in this video to record using the custom button but are not getting any activity from it it could be a problem with the unit. You should at least see line levels move on the sc3 when you press the button for sound playback after recording your sound. Also do you at least hear mic playback in OBS when recording?

@@Bangfirst here it can only be one of 2 issues. Either a configuration/ settings issue or the unit is defective. I’ve had issues where I thought a unit was defective only to find out that in my sound control panel my device levels were defaulted to mute or in OBS properties I didn’t tick the audio track to be active. Also you definitely need to use headset wired monitoring directly to device to confirm for sure if it’s working. One more question, are you using a usb mic or xlr?

@@baptizemachine6969 if you are running these into a computer I would suggest trying to use them separately as opposed to daisy-chaining them together. I haven’t tried it, but the results can be unpredictable with this budget device. But if I wanted to try it I would use the left/right outputs of the scarlet to the aux in on the sc3. You’ll need a 2 to 1 adapter for that. Though in the end I truly doubt it will work the way we expect.

Could be a few reasons. You could possibly have a voice effect on. There could be another audio capture device on. Could be the unit is defective. Does you headset have a built in mic? Have you tried with another headset to confirm it’s not the headset? Is the echo just through the monitoring or the recording/stream? What port is the headset plugged into on the mixer? Several variables as here.

I think this is just one of the shortcomings of the cough pads. It’s not going to sound as good as the actual audio coming in. There is a slight degradation in that quality.

Tbh the 16-bit/48K Hz specs are actually a bit low for those who need professional recording. but it's far from a quite noticeable difference at the consumer level. And it's built to be a budget gaming audio mixer instead of an interface for recording that may require a flow of a much higher bit rate and sample rate.

Here’s a response from the Fifine shop: Yes, you can use this to set up dual PCs, and all audio can be transmitted to the streaming computer. Additionally, there are two situations that need to be noted: 1.If voice software such as Discord is used on game computers. SC3 USB is connected to the game computer as input and output, and SC3 LINE OUT is connected to the input port or microphone port of the live streaming computer. 2. If voice software such as Discord is used on live streaming computers/or does not require voice communication with teammates. The SC3 USB is connected to the live streaming computer as input and output, and the headphone interface of the game computer is connected to the SC3 LINE IN port.

We're afraid no, it's not a fair comparison. What this SC3 aims at is the Behringer UM2, if you consider getting that audio mixer, you can add the SC3 to the comparison list. But not the Wave XLR.

No, first of all, the XLR adapter is one way round, it won't work from USB to XLR. Next, usb mics are built to get rid of the external mixers. if you want to bypass the internal one of your USB mic, which is a quite large part of what you paid for a USB mic, then it's better not to get a USB mic in the first place. That means, if you haven't planned to upgrade your setup, just stick with the quadcast, which is pretty good enough tbh.
