Great find with the tinfoil. You can also use that in your garden. After your Squash and Zucchini are planted pull back some dirt and wrap the base with it and it will keep the Vine bores away

This coupon can only be used on Saturdays. I use this coupon a lot on $1.00 foods. My husband and I love to stock up on the $1.00 canned foods. No tax on food so we get 25 items for $20.00, so paying $0.80 for each can. Just one of our Saturday outings. lol

I love the foil sheets too, but I recently tried one of the longer rolls of what $Tree calls 'heavy duty' foil and it was like a silver tissue! I'm glad I tried it now because I don't want to stock up on any more of it. It would not hold up if you were trying to cook outdoors with it.

Also as an FYI… Dollar Tree acquired Family Dollar in 2015 for 8Billion$. DT has been STUCK with all the Family Dollar headaches since. It has NOT been a Profitable Acquisition. FUN FACT: DT was in a Bidding War with Dollar General for acquisition of Family Dollar. Bet they are thanking their Lucky Stars now. Dollar Tree is planning on Family Dollar stores as the majority of the store closures. Only about 30 Dollar Tree stores will close over the next several years.

Thanks Jinne. Great Haul. You are Right, something is coming. We have to do what we can. Just remember, buy what You like to Eat. Nothing like wanting to eat but don't have what you like cuz you bought items that were on sale and thought you would eat it. Well that's what I do. Not saying not to buy things other don't like. Just make sure you have things you and yours do like. Also, Water can be a bit boring. I try to get the boxes of (Wylers)powder type Drinks at Dollar Tree and Dollar General, 8 -10 to a box. Many flavors and don't take up Space. Just for a treat to change things up. 🙏🙏🙏🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲

My niece is the manager at our local Dollar General. The company only allows them a certain number of hours to schedule workers. The employees have to double up as cashier and stocking shelves. That means getting interrupted from this every time the have to be at the register.

I love the moisture eliminator they are in the bedrooms, closets, towel closet in the bottom corners of bedrooms. Amazing how much moisture they pull out of the air. I grab as many as I can at the $1.00 store. I think Amazon sells them 2/$11.00

I have small trash cans in every room but none of them get heavy use except the kitchen. I buy the super cheap and not great bags for those cans and save the heavier duty ones for the kitchen. Most times I can just put the stuff into one bag and save even the cheaper ones. Good trash bags are expensive 😳. Nice haul!

If you have the little wastebaskets like for a small bathroom, we save the produce bags from the grocery stores and use them to line them as the trash bags.

I just wondered if you were aware of the Cinnamon sold in Dollar trees and Family Dollar stores were found to be contaminated with lead. I had to go through my stock of spices from there and get rid of several. They were part of my prepper pantry. 😊

We have 3 DGs with in 10 miles of us one just opened and it’s still organized. The one that’s been open the longest is mahem stuff everywhere and the mid age one is trying to stay tidy but it’s doesn’t get the traffic the others do.

i bought some sticky sheets "human an pet safe" peanut butter scent.....they work great but 1 problem i had a cat with all 4 paws stuck to 1....not to pet friendly but i folded it into a triangle an problem solved! there great for roaches an spiders.... a 2 pack is $2.89 "eagle's-7 last step" brand at a store i work at.... you should add the $1 cleansing wipes to the list incase you cant shower to get to those under parts to stop chaffing!

Great haul! Some of our DG are clean, maintained, and staffed. Others aren't. I have found the moisture absorbers on the DG Dollar Aisle, but not on every trip. I buy them when I see them.

Have the Dollar General and a dollar store plus we got a Family Dollar/dollar tree and it seems like our Dollar General is a big mess all the time nobody can put the stuff on the shelves they’ve got it in bags are in buggies all over the place

Ginny- I went to a larger Walmart store today that was recently remodeled. I was shocked at how much less food they had! A few weeks ago, my husband and I went to a Walmart in Salem, Ohio. They had shortened the shelves and placed them further apart. I showed my husband and he commented saying “how can you tell the difference? We rarely shop here!” I pointed out the flooring- they hadn’t changed or polished off the areas where the old shelving had been and every area was shorter, further apart with narrower shelves.

Did you see that Dollar Tree is closing 600 stores, and closing 400 of their Dollar General stores also. They had a bad earnings report. And yes, our Dollar General looks like it’s been looted every time I go!

We’re in a suburb outside of Denver and had a Dollar Tree close recently. They were always busy but started to be more and more poorly stocked. The clerk told me the building sold and no plans to open another one.

Paige, that might work, especially you keep it in a closed container. I put any weeds in a 5 gallon bucket, add water, put the lid on & let it ferment a few weeks. I dilute out the weed tea to no more than 1 part tea to 4 parts water & use in my watering cans to feed/water whatever I am growing. I guess my concern would be if those canned fish come from polluted waters especially from overseas, those heavy metals and chemicals might still be on the fish and if you used as fertilizer, those contaminants might not break down.

I don't see the DG grocery shelves full very often. It is part of my weekly haul though. I have a routine and the Dollar General is first on the list. I get what I can there before the other stores. I really like the flex bandaids and the spices. For a dollar I try to get as many of the dollar items there. I really like that aisle in our store. I get the soups there because they are heat n serve no need to add extra water to a lot of them.

Our Dollar General stores are severely understaffed. The stores are messy, for sure. They get a truck in & the goods are put on those huge aluminum trolleys & parked in the aisle where they're supposed to be shelved. (Blocking the aisles...) So, they don't exactly look like they've been looted, but they are practically impossible to navigate through most of the time. It's kind of sad that they can't keep their stores staffed properly.

The Kroger in my area used to send out a get one free Dawn dishwashing detergent coupon with the packet of personalized coupons. Every time I got a get one free coupon, I used it. I must have 18 plus bottles of Dawn (18 to 28 ounce size) in my pantry! At first, I didn't know why I kept picking up the free bottle. It must have been subconscious prepper thinking!

We do the same thing. I have used coupons for years and they say that a free coupon is like that amount deducted from your grocery bill, plus you get a free product. If you do happen to have a coupon for a product plus it being on sale the couponing people would call that a double play! We do the Kroger digital coupons now which helps but there are a lot less manufacturer's coupons than there were some years back.

Our Dollar Generals are so unkempt. The quality of the food in the Market has gone down terribly, and the prices have spiked, but I go for the Dollar Aisle, if only for when they have the 2 1/2 gallon ziplock bags and sponge packages, and a few incidentals. I got a roll of extra heavy duty large trash bags to line a barrel that we have that held something that I don't feel that we can completely clean out, but it will hold a lot of water that we can either use the heavy filters for consumption, or it can just be used for cleaning, etc. I am loaded with all kinds of paper and plastic needs. I have not seen the insect wipes, thanks.
