The pcb on this supports screw in stabs. The plate is the problem. You have to file it down to make space. The PCB overall is fairly decent, hope somebody ports QMK to it. You might be able to just build this plateless actually if you use 5pin switches. Some switches fit tighter than others, like Kailh Box Crystal are very tight white JWKs are terrible. It should sound a lot better too, see Cherry's own G80-3000 that are plateless.

Yeah, because the stabs cut out is for plate mount stabs. Perhaps Kbdfans' new stabs can be used.

Hi i would like to build my first keyboard after many pre-built. I'm doing lots of research and i've stumbled upon your (great) video. A few questions: is this compatible with 3 pin Gateron/Cherry style switches or just Kailh? Also, do you recommend this board as i want a TKL format with RGB but not too expensive? is it beginner friendly or it's a pain to work?
@TheAsianNerd3 жыл бұрын
Hey bro thank you for your kind words. I think this board is not the easiest to open. You definitely need some guitar picks to open it up. Also, you can use 3 pins or 5 pins switches on this board, it's not Kailh switches only. Cherry, Gateron, TTC, basically a lot of commonly found switches can be used on this board.
