I love how you did this! It legitimately looks like you’ve got a built-in Den! I’m now inspired to create my home office. It’s honestly something I should have done before now, but I was being intentional about not bringing work home. Due to the COVID Shutdown though, I have no choice but to work from home. I’ve been going back and forth about what to do, but your video gave me the inspiration I had been seeking. Thank you! God bless!

I love your videos and have sent photos of my builds to you. HINT: Theatrical Stage Sets use styrofoam crown molding. They can be painted and go up with command strips. You can add crown molding to the entire living room/ofc/dining area for pennies on the dollar of actual crown molding. Best part, no holes to put them up. Enjoy!

It's simple and neat. More space will be available if you opted for fold-able table mounted on wall. So that it can be rested on the book shelf for stability and retracted to the wall for more space.

I subscribed when I saw you build a tall, narrow, pull out pantry on wheels. Your instructions are clear and easy to follow. Much gratitude for that. The male carpenters on KZbin, with some notable exceptions found on Pinterest, make things with such complicated instructions most are impossible to follow. I love your office. I live in ancient building in Italy with deep niches perfect for an old table, but I love the wall you created with IKEA bookcases Such a great way to divide office space from the rest of the room. I didn't see the bookcases you used in your list, so if you see this, I'd love to know. Thanks. I love your channel. I'm curious about why you left NYC for LA. Are you an actor? I made that move back in the 70's for acting, but missed NYC too much and left.

I think sharing the concept is a nice way of helping beginners learn how to make/build things for themselves. More ppl need to know how to improve their homes in ways that work for them! I do wish you’d add some real woodworking skills into your work as there were some finishings that needed improvements such as your table, rail dividing the upper and base wall. Using some clear caulk would’ve helped attach that rail flush compared to only relying on screws which, is an appropriate way of installing a “guard rail” but also using a nailer could’ve assisted in flushing up your board to the wall. I enjoyed the creative sliding whiteboard/multi purpose board and your use/creativity in applying different mechanisms like the wheels and metal rail to create the very sliding effect you needed. It’s incredibly handy and I’ve seen woodworkers build the same concept for their workshops using nearly identical methods but having a nice finish as in wood boarder surrounding the ply edges, dados etc. This is your channel and I think you’re incredibly smart and efficient with space saving ideas and setups that others need for ideas and inspiration. Personally, if you invested in some basic woodworking tools ie: table saw, bandsaw and nail gun, etc. (proud of you for using your chisel👍🏼) and higher level finishing/woodworking skills, it’d take your content to a level that would really be neat! But again, I think as is you’re giving a service to those that acquire zero to beginner to intermediate skill levels and that’s necessary and appreciated
@EngineerYourSpace4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for your feedback. My aim with the content I share is first and foremost to inspire others to create a home they love, no matter the size of their space, their budget or their level of DIY skills. I don't have access to a workshop with all tools you mention, yet I still love to build things. So I like to use my limited tool arsenal as fuel for my creativity, to bring out my inner MacGyver, and I share my projects so others can feel empowered by seeing what's possible, even if they live in a tiny studio apartment in the middle of a big city. For anyone looking to learn woodworking specifically, there is no shortage of YT channels out there that specialize in this type of content exclusively.
