Looks great but the one thing that is missing is lightning. For a craft like embroidery (not crochet like you called it) that so detailed you need really good lighting, specially in a corner like that, that's away from natural light.

I think there could also be a light of some sort, as crafts and reading both need proper lighting and sitting towards the wall, you’re likely to cast your own shadow on your work. The desk and peg wall are amazing ideas!

I know I’m stating an obvious but I hope you can see this as your fan wanting to give polite advice :) So here goes - try to adjust the brightness/light in the future because this was so bright it didn’t even help when I turned my phone brightness down to the lowest setting. I couldn’t make out the colors of anything because they were so washed out from the overexposure.

I don't have a Murphy Desk/Wall Bed but I think they are great. Adding a piece of artwork in this situation would really elevate the space, especially as a reading space. In other areas you could add a mirror.

The table will not hold much weight. I understand using the peg board, if one of the containers gets knocked off, she will be cleaning up small things. I would have liked to see using under the bed for organized storage. Yarn takes up a lot of space.

I have an office nook in my bedroom. Will definitely transfer it in a nook in the living room. But in the meantime, I was deliberating whether to buy a swivel office chair or a statement chair but comfortable. You just convinced me! I recently styled a room for a friend and got a customized dining table made out just like the Murphy desk here. Her mom stores up her pickles and marmalades on the shelves. Saves up do much space in smaller living cum dining rooms.

Suggestions: The cute storage bag where the iron and other random items were tossed, that could be a waste bin. If she decides to use the bag as it is, install a hook on the wall to get it up off the floor. Easy clean up. The other items tossed in the bag... yarn and sewing material box.. go vertical: a corner wall mount shelf above the peg board is a great place to store these items. Place the yarn in a white plastic basket/bin. Store both the sewing box and yarn bin on the shelf. The iron could actually go up there too. OR the iron could be placed on a hook/storage with the ironing board and mounted behind the door.

I loved this one - only thing I would add if it was my space would be extra lighting (for fiddly/close up work), and maybe some extra boxes or baskets where I could throw / hide all that random stuff that somehow always needs a home but wouldn’t fit in the neat little Murphy desk. I am not a massive fan of the paint texture effect but that’s just me!

i would do an elegant gold rail for the ribbons, actually use the shelves inside to store some of the sequence and other stuff in those acrylic containers, put a basket and plant on top of the murphy storage and one or two floating shelves on the wall with more baskets and completely axe the peg board. I personally think it makes a small space look cluttered and is a bit college-y, but that's just me, not everyone's taste is the same. sewing also takes up a lot of space so I'd just add a longer piece of plank that I could put on the desk to extend it, and put it away with the sewing machine when not using it. With all of that said the decor still looks good though

Murphy desk has interested me cause I like that relaxing concept of hiding away work or projects at times plus saving space. But I'm really into avoiding the bad Feng Shui and feel (in my opinion) of sitting facing a wall so figured Murphy desk isn't for me. Watching this though it finally occurred to me that the chair could be positioned where the chair IS in the Feng Shui power position of having back to wall (corner) and facing the room, doors, window views! Woo-hoo! Other thoughts: Chair doubling as a reading nook instead is brilliant and that's a great-looking chair! This video is yet another example of how much the decorating and organizing fields go hand in hand! Chico seems so handy, would love to hear about ways he helps.
