Found some lovely crisps in Farmfoods today, Truffle and Rosemary, (Clearly Marked Vegan), £1-59, or £2-50 for two big bags. Very nice for a treat.💜💛

Have a Farm Foods near us in Erith. It has recently been renovated and offers vegan options. However, we only have a small box freezer so sadly cannot buy too much frozen produce from there 😊

I moved house in November to a place without any supermarkets and I don't drive, so living vicariously through these. I DO have a small Tesco local though (it's part of a garage) which is weirdly good considering its size - lots of non-dairy milk, two types of vegan ice cream, vegan block and spread cheese, vegan butter, vegan sausages, tofu and vegan chocolate including plantastic cakes. Annoyingly doesn't do much in terms of the meal deal. Sometimes the falafel wrap...

I was so tired of "freezer Jenga" that just before the pandemic I bought a chest freezer and it lives in the cellar (most if not all houses have a cellar it seems to be the law) and that rarely gets more than half full

@@addamhewitt I was translating the word Keller from German. Cellars are unheated and for storage - ideal for a chest freezer. Basements seem to be extra living space under the ground floor especially in North America.

On the hand washes etc. I like that nowadays vegans can buy a vegan product without getting hassle from other vegans about the parent company. I've been vegan since 2005 and the local vegan group I was in until 2014 used to militantly avoid supporting any vegan products (shampoo, handwash, food etc) from companies even vaguely associated with animal testing or that sold any non-vegan products. I think McDonald's doing vegan food and some vegans supporting that was part of the shift. It's better to be accessible.

I went in farm foods today in Cornwall, the prices in your shop are cheaper. My favourite farm food treat is the chocolate covered almonds in the sweets and nut section , I've just eaten a whole packet to myself 😊

You have it very lucky in the UK with healthy competition and lower prices in your supermarkets. Here in Australia we have 2 main huge supermarkets that was recently revealed they have put up prices in the last 2 years by 14%. Yesterday at our local we noticed sales everywhere and i have never in my life seen so many specials tags.

Hello, I’m vegetarian trying to go vegan (please don’t judge, doing it slowly whilst introducing things to my home so my kids don’t notice too much of a change at once, one has autism and both have sensory issues). My boys are so sensitive when it comes to animal welfare, but milk is so hard to change for them, do you have any hints or tips that might help us please? Also cheese is a huge thing, we tried the cathedral city and my son was physically gagging because of the smell. I wish our farmfoods was as big as yours, our is mini in comparison.

For cheese we would suggest none for few weeks. Dairy is so addictive and it takes real effort to get off it and eventually enjoying vegan alternatives. A few weeks abstinence and them trying a couple of different cheeses might make the difference. For milk it's really a very personal thing. We've stuck with Koko for many years but tried loads first. You got this. X

Try Bute Island cheese if you can find it in a health food shop. It doesn't have the same smell as the rubbery violife-type ones.
