I think you can add the Talkpod A36Plus 8W version in the Budget radio. At least 8W doesn't have the horrible spurious emission and cleaner than the old one.

The budget radios need a couple innovations to get us where we need to be. To get DMR into budget radios, why can’t a Bluetooth module be integrated into the HT that bypasses the hotspot and sends the transmissions into a nearby PC, tablet , or cellphone. The next technology that is holding the budget radio back is the lack of APRS integration. Once the Chinese manufacturers conquer these two innovations, the Japanese market will be in trouble.
