I have been having issues with my Samsung S24 Ultra, there seems to be an issue with these phones that a lot of people are having. Now the Digirig mobile, and the Digirig Lite, are just awesome units, they work well on every other device.

I REALLY appreciate the fact that you're willing to teach us "newbies." When the camera is on the radios you are a natural teacher. I can follow what you teach easily because you are relaxed and talking normal. Relax and be yourself when you're in front of the camera. You've got this!

I have an Ed Fong J-Pole Antenna. I put it on a 10' PVC mast and 12" coax. My Nano VNA tells me the match is 1 to 2.25. Do I need a metal mast or a longer coax for a counterpoise?

For every one licensed user there are 100 non licensed. Being licensed is a requirement of the FCC but it's enforcement is just about non existent. Just be polite and respectful of other users and you will not have any issues.

Audio level to low.

Bought it, took me a lifetime to get it to work, but I still can not get the audio input gauge to move in Vara HF no matter what audio levels I use on the radio or the digirig. It makes the connection, just won't show me the audio input levels. Bizarre.

On mine a long press on 'menu' just enters the menu. To change from frequency to channel mode I have to switch it off and then hold the menu whilst turning on again.

I accidentally locked myself out of the uv5rm radio with the power on password function, is there any type of reset to get back into the radio if I forgot the password ❓️🤔 I've already tried the default 000000 password and it didn't work, does anyone got anything to help ❓️

Thank you so much for this Video. I was struggling with DStar settings for my local repeater, and gave up after getting unsupportive “comments” from users on my local “friendly” net. Seeing this this morning, gave me a kick up the butt and after a couple of downloads I was listening to reflectors all around.

I seem to get lost in the menus frequently. I'll have to invest some time to write down a directory for this software. Prob a different directory for the HT as well.

The radio would be awesome if it wasn't for the muting when tuning with the tuning dial, thats way to anoying sadly.

Just received my GM 21, the display reads in frequency only, I noticed during your video display reads in GMRS channel number or Repeater number. I can’t figure out how to change, can you help?

Soft muting on this and the other versions is a major problem. You should really have shown tuning with the concentric knobs as that would demonstrate the soft muting issue...thanks

Hey Mr Gadget - at 19:43 you entered in an extra one for a frequency of 1146mhz. instead of 146mhz. Might be worth retrying it if you missed that. Thank you for the videos they are awesome.

Nice review. It would be nice if they had included a water fall display. I think I would want the 18650 batteries rather than a flat pack battery.

Thanks. No. I seen on their videos that they used to have a USB driver update (downgrade) that isn't there anymore. I emailed them and got it. Didn't work, so I googled some more and found the update labeled the same but it was different. It worked as long as I booted up with the radio connected after that.

I have or 3 18 inch amtennas but how do I identify the frequency range ? I have a tri band, a dual band & a GMRS version but no markings

I have bought 3 of them the first came from Amazon totally ptt locked to GMRS , secend and third have come from another sites all over rides the ptt and is working very well

This was a great video. Nobody could explain the FRS/GMRS radio situation any better. You did a great job doing so. More than a single thumbs up is definitely warranted.

No luck. I tried it on windows 10 and 11. USB port is up to date but gives me a error of windows 31. Every other device has no issues. Just this radio.

I've seen a few people test this radio & come up with varying levels of harmonics. All tests seem to have been done on high power. I'd be curious to see what the results would be at lower power settings.

An absolutely fantastic piece of technology. This radio is a genuine tool. This is your companion in the woods, with many great devices built in for navigation through mapping, monitoring broadcast radio, communicating on UHF, VHF, GMRS or MURS. The ability to beacon APRS messages to a regular cellphone at home from your off grid location. This is the total package. My only wish is if they could modify the channel group to more than 16 channels in one scan group. In a metropolitan area that limits the number of repeaters you might want to monitor. I would suggest 24 or 30.

Yesterday, I got an email from Vero saying they have a new firmware that gives us 32 channels instead of 16. There's another video idea for you, lol.
