I would love to only need 20 bucks for gas especially with what gas is right now. I have a Ford focus and get 38 mpg and I still have to fill up twice a week just for getting back and forth for work.

Can someone dumb down what the difference between cash envelopes vs sinking funds are ?

Cash envelopes = variable expenses aka wallet money that you spend during the week. (Gas, groceries, beauty, etc) Sinking funds= little savings pockets for larger expense things (Christmas, emergency fund, medical, birthdays, etc)
