Awesome thank you... I put a Toro FORCE 12S in a 4th order today and hooked it up to a Toro R5 2000RMS amplifier... I'm going to play it around 1000rms for a few days for break in, I asked Toro Tech on there Tech email about break in and they recommended 1/2RMS for a min of 6hours... after that I'll crank up the R5

I bought 3 12” XFLs. Your reviews helped me decide which subwoofer to pick. Thank you for the video and comparisons. I check back in when I build the box and have an opinion on them. 3 12’s in a Honda Fit, running off of a Taramps md8000.1 should make me go deaf lol

I'm guessing the f3 on the toro and massive were in the mid 30's. Not essentially crushing the lows. I'd rather take the XFL and not sacrifice the lows for more output.

Yes test up the bdc4plz. But if i remember the newest xfl specs are decent enough to keep spl up. In smaller compartments.

Enclosure and tuning does play a huge factor. Massive has been around, I’m glad you retested for the higher FS drivers here. Awesome content good sir!

The xfl is same price now as king series 12. bet it surpasses anything in its rms range and maybe even the XFL goes down! That would be amazing if xfl ets beat in best sub for money!

Always start with available space volume. And try to, at least, meet the manfacture recommended volume

some food for thought... the Force 12S has a recomended box of 2.7 cube feet.... that extra .7 that the box you are testing with might make a lot of difference...?

Yes im curious if the toro adds anything relevant besides pricing. Hippoxl has gotten lil too pricey imo. I got mine when they were fire $240 a piece

To be honest, both subwoofers sound pretty good, but the TORO sounds better, in both enclosures, at higher volumes.

I know this is a old video but those audiopipe amplifiers are full of distortion? You should have gotten the bass 8k taramps they hit the lows better than the md taramps

The TORO did really good at 32 and 40Hz. So I'd say whichever is closer to your favorite tuning go with it

So the toro is a little bit heavier and its take more rms watts I might have to get that I was torn between the skar zvx12 and soundqubed hdc 12 but I forgot the newer xfl 12 is 1500 rms and the toro is 200 I don't know what to do now lol

I have an XFL on order. I decided to go with the company that has been around for a very long time instead of a company that just came out. Performance between the two is pretty much the same so why weigh down your car more, and push more power for the same output?

@@Flightguy323 clean power 14 volts or more and no clipping just to much for it probaly daily used .I got a soundqubed hdx3 12 now I've seen them take 4500 rms on music for a while so I went with one of them and now I'm getting a sounqubed 2250s amp as soon as its fully broken in

@@paulcherry1520 I just picked up a B2 Rage 12 instead. I had ordered the XFL in the beginning of March and American Bass would still not give my dealer a proper ETA so I went ahead and cancelled it. 1 thing for sure tho. Toro 12s vs hippoxl12. Your loosing some sd area. Its a trade off. Xmax for linearity slightly.

I do 154's with 2 hippoxl12 on a wolfram7500.1 at .5ohm. And that was out the box testing. So im sure after breakin nowdays... Im closer to 155's. yes; .15cu.ft to be exact. I didn't go too deep into the tuning, fearing people clicking off the video. But yes, the tunning after port modification was 43Hz, but with the added volume calculation it closer to the 18inches required for a 40Hz tuning. Thanks for pointing that out.

I have a question does toro 12s have to be wired to 1ohm or can it be wired 4 ohm I know the have a force 4 ohm series but this one is better to me

Any dual voice coil subwoofer can be wired in three different impedances you have the impedance of the single coil then you have the impedance of both coils wired in series and then you have the impedance of both cools wired in parallel just remember if you wire only a single coil you have to power the subwoofer at half its RMS power rating cuz you're only using half it's available voice coils.

@@BudgetBassHead roger that so get two of them wired to half ohm,or 2 ohm, or four ohm thanks I thought so but with those wire leads not terminals had me 🤯 in the head so I have 1ohm stable amp so would need two subs to get that wired at 4ohms

Your question about how the same sub made the same score probably has to do with box port size, it's possible it can be maxing out the port and unable to pass anymore airflow. Or complete coincidence but I somehow doubt that.

Should of had the 2000 watt rms American Bass HD 12 D2 in this comparison video for a better fight! Also the next 3 12inch sub showdown should be the 2500 watt rms Orion HCCA 122, 3000 watt rms Avatar STU-1246, and 2400 watts rms Deaf Bonce Apocalypse DB-3012 D1/D2 !

The junk Toro pulled the same score because it was maxed out that’s all you’re getting out of that sub. Both the American bass and massive have way more in them. That’s why their scores changed each time because they are legit not throw away Toro subs

I believe the score didn't change for the Toro 12S because although a wall was knocked out of that box (2.0cuft) changing the tuning to the desired tuning for the Toro... it did not give the Toro a 2.7cuft box like the Toro manufacture suggest ... that 0.7cuft short on box size is a big deal.. all 3 are great subs, but lets be fair about this and build a box that is what each box manufacture suggest....

@@RocPackk I've ben running 1st the Force 8 in subs.... they are an amazing sub, I've never had such a solid and low hitting monster of a 8in,.... then I leveled up to a Fierce 12in and both times as soon as I advertised then for sale the very 1st person both times to listen to those boxes/toro subs bought them quick... and I sold them at full price because I only listened to them for a few weeks then desided to level up,.. now I'm running a Rage R5 Toro amp and a single Force 12S and WOW talk about an amazing sounding system,,, the best I've ever had and I've been into car Audio most of my life,... I'm about to add another R5 and 12S to my car.. I can't wait.... just thought you'd like an opinion of a Toro fan... I'm also a fan of Massive and AB all 3 are good subs,.... but food for thought.... look at the current sail on the 12S it's only 279$ right now that is a smoking deal for a 3in coil 2000rms sub,,, my shipping box said 53pounds on it with only one 12S in it...lol
