Good pieces of advice but those were not the right pieces of advice for someone who wants to be rich. 1. About the laptop question. Instead of saving for the mac laptop, save to invest. Mac is a liability not unless it is used to generate money. People should think of acquiring Assets instead of Liabilities. Well, the person asked how to buy a Mac, to look cool, though. He did not ask how to save money and get rich. Heheheh 2. About the saving question. The answer is SELF DISCIPLINE. Save first before you spend. Saving at least 10% of your income is already good. She advised to look for more jobs. Even if you look for extra jobs if you still don't know how to budget your money then still nothing happens. The answer should be to eliminate unnecessary spending. Don't live a lifestyle you can't afford. The attitude of the poor is to always look for something to spend their money into. The attitude of the middle class is to always accumulate liabilities just to look like super rich. The attitude of the rich and even some who is going to be rich is to always accumulate for assets.

I AGREE! It doesn't matter how much you EARN, but how much you SAVED from your hard Earned Money. That is the right Principle.
