I did it too! I made the goal at the beginning of the year to save $10,000 by Dec. 31. I hit $10,040 at 11/15! Woo hoo! It wasn't easy and a couple times I did not think I would make it. But I got it done. I was putting everything I saved in a HYSA and counting the interest towards the goal. Glad you made it too!! I bet lots of people can save $1000 in 2025! Even more than 1000 women getting it done!

Well, I’m a guy. I might be one out of a few of you ladies, but I’m proud to say that I’m glad that I have found a community where I could be motivated especially with budget treasures and you guys helping along. I started the 5500 last year well beginning of this year and I used it but I didn’t finish it, but I’m glad I used it to tie me over for the summer however I think I’m going to try something a little bit more less easy to start with. I’m going to try to start next month and let it go on until next year. Also I’m going to kick back my sinking fund so I won’t have to dip into that money goals that I want to have set aside. I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving tomorrow and happy holidays to kickoff.

To save 10k in a year you need to save @$834 monthly. This is quite a hefty amount for the average middle class American, but is doable depending on your priorities and budget. Since we receive three paychecks per month and sometimes a 4th one depending on the month we will be able to pull $278 out of each check to hit this goal for 2025. I love your videos because no matter your circumstances you still exude positivity and are always assisting others to become financially savvy. ❤

Yes, it certainly is doable. I was doing the math recently. $10,000 saved in a full calendar year breaks down to $27.40/day. That really is the cost of take out today. It truly is a commitment with discipline. Keeping in mind that some days and months will vary for all. I am up for the challenge!! Best wishes and abundance for you all! 🤑💵💵

Credit Cards are the worst when we do not manage them correctly

The way I am paying my credit cards down is paying on them twice a month when I can so that interest doesn’t hit so hard. Also, I am dividing the balances into 6months and 12 month and that’s my monthly payment goal. Minimum payments will not put a dent in those balances, you have to double or triple your payments.

I didn’t save a lot this year but my spouse and I paid off our car (28k + interest!) now we’re saving for a 3 month emergency fund then house fund. Thx for all of the tips. $1000.00!!! I really needed what you first said about budgeting. I just write down my bills and I guess I don't really budget. I do set specific amounts for what I am going to spend on certain things, like groceries, but I thought that was budgeting. I did not include saving in my calculations when I budget. Saving was always an "If I can do it, I will" thought. I am going to plan it in now. I am so pessimistic about and very bad at saving. I am going to put my goal for this year as saving $1000.
