I'm watching my friends parakeets cause they are away for Christmas , they aren't well taken care of over there, so I'm glad I'm taking care of them for now, and I showed them this video. They flipped out, chirping and listening, the green one got as close to the screen as possible and really wanted out of the cage, they are not tame, so catching them is a pain, me and my mom bought them a birdbath and a toy cause there was nothing at all in the cage, they are by a large window in my house so they are very happy to watch the birds outside. At their house their cage is on the ground, basically in the dark, dogs running past them and now they are happy

Poor birds :( can’t you buy them off them? I’m sure they’ll have a better life at urs! My boys ain’t tame but they know where the cage opening is so they fly until they get hungry or thirsty and then they go into the cage where food and water are. Being outside the cage is important for birds. It’s like us being trapped in our house with no chance of moving! 😔 Please save them!

Same thing happened to me. I never gave back the bird. He was alone in a tiny cage, in a dark corner. I got him a huge cage, lots of toys, and a friend. He is now a happy little birb. If you can afford keeping them, do so!

I have two green budgies that are named Link and Luigi out of my ten budgies. One named after the hero of the wild because his personality is very similar to who his named after like how he loves food,loves to climb anything, swing on things and jump off things to fly or flutter to like the game. He also watches me whenever I prepare the food and has that same look when you cook things in breath of the wild. He also likes to get to the food first. Luigi it's obvious who he is named after not just because he's green but I like Luigi better than Mario. He loves to dance like a maniac when music that I like that he even likes is playing. He even dances when I take them in the shower with me. I call them my two green beans or lemon limes but they are so funny as a pair. When I got them they told me that they are also of the same flock that made sense when I got Luigi he recognized Link. They were like "Hey I know you!" 😂

It's always a great achievement when you put in the time love and patience with a talented bird in getting them to speak. I know. I've had 2 talkers. So congrats to you! So I'm sure you're absolutely blown away, as I am, to see DISCO! Not only was his vocabulary huge, but he had the longest mimics I've ever seen Any bird have! One of my favorites: 'what is a parakeet? It's a green and yellow bird that talks. But that's not important right now.'. And: 'What seems to be the problem officer? I am not a crook. My name is Disco. I am a parakeet. Bird to your mother!' He is incredible! And of course his 'Mish-mash conversations are hysterical. My birds had vocabularies much like yours, short phrases. And quite a lot of them. But now that I've seen Disco, I'm raising my expectations, realizing I could've probably done much more, as long as the bird is a real avid mimicker. His mom and dad are my new inspiration...as I've talked to my (English budgie) bird breeder about getting me a brand new baby boy. It's been 5 years since my last boy passed, and maybe I waited, unknowingly, so that I could see Disco first. Thanks for your video.
