If you have not tried strawberries give them strawberries they will love them! Some birds pick the seeds off the strawberries and eat the strawberry last.

my parakeets were all this color, and I always had males and they used to talk up a storm. The one thing I never knew was that they loved the fresh fruit I used to have these birds from the late 50s until the mid 80s.

FlyingFelineStudios birds are ABSOLUTELY worth the commitment! they're pretty easy to take care of when it comes to cleaning and what not. you just need to make sure that you have lots of time to spend with them. They're very social animals and once you bond with them its the best thing in the world. they're also very fun to have around! i deal with anxiety and my birds really help me take my mind off of it.

Parrots are a particularly big commitment. A budgie can live as long as or longer than a cat or dog. Cockatiels can live from 20 to 30 years. Larger parrots can live longer and have advanced needs. Small birds like finches and canaries live shorter lives and have simpler mental requirements.

I'm trying to tame 2 budgies but it seems to be a bit harder to tame 2 because they socialize with each other and not me. However I still love them and I know it will just take time to tame them. ❤️ Edit: I've also had my budgies for about a year and I'm only just starting to tame them so it will be a lot harder for me. I really want to get a new budgie tho.

I just got 2 almost 2wks ago Paris and Prince. Paris got to the point where my daughter and I can get her to sit on our finger, walk up our shoulder and eat out our hands but Prince is a lil hard to tame. He would eat out our hands but it's rare for him to sit on our fingers and he don't really like to come out the cage, if he does it's for a few minutes then he fly right back in. Being that they share a cage and they like to be around each other it makes it hard to keep taming Paris bcuz Prince will keep chirping when he doesn't see Paris in the cage then she be ready to fly back to the cage. I'm thinking about getting another cage to separate them for a while so we could tame them 1on1

@@sungii good luck taming them, i just got 3 budgies, 4 days in of training and ive got them to sit on a stick go back too the cage then give them some millet spray. they can go on my finger but they quickly go back to the cage they also eat from my bowl and are growing my trust.

Sabine Leskien if you want a bird for yourself, get one. if you want a bird to watch, get two. if you get two budgies often times they will bond with each other and not feel the need to bond with you! I got one of my birds a few months ago and he bonded with me very well, but a couple of months later I adopted a second budgie so that he would have a friend. the new budgie is not tamed at all and he won't even sit on my finger because he just wants to be with his friend!

My parakeet was named Yoshi, she was a well taught parakeet that was taught like a hawk. When i say she is like a hawk i mean she acts like a hawk in most ways. If you raise you are she will fly and land on it. if you have food in your hand she will dive and scoop some of it and fly onto something tall.

No thats not really ture the real way to find out is to check there pelvis it sounds weird but the best why u cant clarify by there chirp or nose all parakeets are different mine seems like a girl but she could possibly be a boy

Super cute. Got some advice though. Don't feed him seeds, feed him pellets and fresh fruits and veggies. Also, get a sandpaper perch, so his toenails get trimmed down a little.
