I was at a gig in Cardiff Castle when this album was released. Budgie were on the bill. They were awsome. Status quo top,d the bill, but had a breakdown at the start of the gig! But budgie, after that I bought all their albums. R.i.p. burke shelley. You were a magical.

If you haven’t heard Buffalo, a 70’s Australian band, do yourself a favour and google them

Peter Richardson I’m going to seek them out. Weirdly I’ve lived in Australia since 1985 (sometimes I was in Scotland or Vietnam or Bali) and never heard of them.

God damn this riff is so dirty and badass Love how BUDGIE still remained heavy and sexy while Rush lost all that and nerded out too much

This album and impeccable rule. It showed a band stretching out a little but remaining kick ass. I don’t think Black Sabbath can say that with their last 2 albums of the 70s. They are good albums don’t get me wrong but I view the last 2 budgie albums of the seventies are superior to the Sabs last 2 of the decade.
@prairiehawker5 жыл бұрын
I agree to some extent. Never Say Die and Technical Ecstasy were great in that Sabbath decided to go off exploring some musical areas that took their base fans by complete surprise. And many were really pissed off. Frankly I love both albums for that reason. But I do agree overall that Britannia and Impekkable are superior the Sabbath product of the same time.
@mannyruiz19544 жыл бұрын
@@prairiehawker Agree. Never Say Die is damn good. Tech Ecstacy is pretty good to but NSD is really good, imo. Btw, this Budgie album is damn fine too.
