Wspomnienia zalewają myśli. Mój tato zaczytany na fotelu, mama kupiła mięso na kartki, siostra jak radio. A ja w pokoju z słuchawkami odpływam przy Budgie. Teraz sam jestem rodzicem. Ten utwór jeszcze bardziej melancholijny. Czas, życie, mgnienie oka.

When I was 15 years old I used to sit on my bed play my accoustic and sing 'Riding My Nightmare' and 'You Know I'll Always Love You' but this song I used to go to bed and listen to this with my eyes closed. Loved it. Sometimes waking up in the middle of the night with my record player still on, humming and headphones still on. Magic memories. Budgie, Cardiff's finest.

We lent each other records, I lent Brain Salad Surgery, he lent Never turn your back on a friend, we swapped them back after two weeks but I had to buy my own I was 15 and hooked. Headphones on eyes closed and surrounded by this work of harmony and gritty playing, in 2021 I feel the same way I listen to this on my laptop, eyes closed and time traveling back on a wave of pure beautiful nostalgia, this and riding my nightmare... just bloody incredible.

Znakomita kompozycja. Całkowicie ponadczasowa. Można tworzyć piękno zaledwie na trzech instrumentach. Dwie gitary, perkusja i znakomity wysoki wokal. To prawdziwa perła wśród ponadczasowych kompozycji

The beauty of this song to me is like listening to it in the paecefulness of the forest with the chirping of the birds and the rustling of the trees and hearing the waves of the ocean coming in at the same time. This song transports me to both at the same time. And thats without the acid.

Fantastic musicianship as well as the artwork. The budgie has a log held. The other set of talons is in attack mode. The whip makes a face on the beige / brown rocks. An eye, a smile, and a nose. The highest stone on the stack on the right resembles ET's face, he is sliding into the green lake. The big mountain has a horn like a unicorn, beneath that, there are eyes and the face of a Moomin. The beige / brown mountainside between and behind the budgie wings clearly depicts the face of a predator. A bear, a fox, or something similar, it is there. I'm sure that there are other hidden meanings. What a superb song.
