Only play male sounds for male budgies and only play female sounds for female budgies unless you intend on breeding them. Sounds of the opposite gender will get them sexually frustrated and may lead to aggression, esp in female budgies.

Are they comfortable with you? If they are, then hold em tight and grab a scissors. Be extremely careful! This could hurt the bird! I'd highly recommend going to a vet, not at once, one bird at a time. Maybe keep a schedule? Month 1: bird one Month 3: bird two Month 6: bird three Month 9: bird four Month 12: bird 5 Something like that 😊

Thats not good for this little baby it is stimulating hormones. As you can see this lil sweetie is trying to feed the "budgie" in the mirror which is shown by when this budgie starts regergitating, I understand this can be really cute but its really in all honesty not fair to this little guy/girl if its a female bird this can cause her to produce eggs and could end up with her becomming egg bound...and most of all its really aggregating for the birdie cause it can't mate with the mirror THEREFOR its only sexually frustrating and confusing this bird😕please either seriously limit the time with the mirror or personally what I would do because its just much kinder to the birdie is take the mirror away and replace it with some mentally stimulating toys or foraging toys. Also if you allow this to continue you will start to see bad behaviors from your bird such as more biting, nesting behaviors which lead to territory protection which again leads to more biting just all sorts of not so friendly behaviors. So please think about what I have said in all honesty im only trying to HELP you and this sweet little baby! God bless I hope you listen to my suggestions I know that your bird with BENIFIT greatly and in turn you and your relationship with him/her will too!❤

I think it's a good sign if they don't play with the mirror- it increases the likelihood that he'd try to bond with you and/or with another budgie. Cookie is too addicted to his mirror and Alen regrets this.

So I think I made my budgie food aggressive. When I first got him he was pretty passive and didn't mind it too much when I pet him But after a month he didn't really seem to like me anymore, so I started giving him treats out of my hands so he would get used to my hands again, kind of like to remind him that I'm not a threat and that I won't hurt him. But now he gets aggressive if I don't have treats, however the other day I was able to get him on a pencil by offering a treat. An example of his aggressiveness is after I gave him some treats one day he did very well and seemed to be in a good mood so I offered my finger for him to perch on it For the first time he put one foot on my finger And bit me until completely perching onto it and biting me repeatively without stopping. He broke a little bit of my skin and at that point I eventually got him off onto one of the perches. I haven't tried doing it since because I don't want him to think that I'm food or something idek I give him plenty of pellets and seeds everyday ,so I know for a fact he isn't hungry. What should I do to stop encouraging this behavior?
