Left a lucrative job in Abu Dhabi, now a successful entrepreneur
আবুধাবির লোভনীয় চাকরি ছেড়ে ১৯৮৩ সালে দেশে ফেরেন, বুয়েট থেকে ইঞ্জিনিয়ার হওয়া গোলাম মোহাম্মদ আলমগীর। তাঁর স্বপ্ন ছিল উদ্যোক্তা হওয়ার। যা পূরণে নিজের পুঁজি আর ব্যাংক ঋণ নিয়ে প্রথমে কারখানা দেন, গাড়ির লিপ স্প্রিং বানানোর। মাত্র ৯ মাসেই সেই বিনিয়োগ ওঠে আসে মুনাফাসহ। তবে বঙ্গবন্ধু সেতুতে রেলপথ নির্মাণের সিদ্ধান্ত হলে ইঞ্জিনিয়ার গোলাম মোহাম্মদ আলমগীরের ব্যবসায়ীক জীবনের মোড় ঘুরে যায়। ওই রেলপথ নির্মাণের ফরাসি ঠিকাদারের অধিকাংশ মালামালই সরবরাহ করে তার কোম্পানি। সবশেষ কক্সবাজার রেল স্টেশনের আইকনিক ভবনও নির্মাণ করে ম্যাক্স গ্রুপ। এছাড়া, রূপপুর পারমাণবিক বিদ্যুৎ কেন্দ্রের মেইন টারবাইন ভবন নির্মাণসহ এর আরও অনেক কাজ করছে কোম্পানিটি। পাশাপাশি মহাসড়ক ও সেতু বানাতেও তারা সমান দক্ষ। গত বছর তাদের টার্নওভার ছিল আড়াই হাজার কোটি টাকা। গ্রুপটির চেয়ারম্যান ইঞ্জিনিয়ার গোলাম মোহাম্মদ আলমগীর টিবিএসকে আরও জানান, তাদের লক্ষ্য এক নম্বর হওয়া।

আওয়ামী লীগ,ছাত্রলীগকে চেতনা বুকে ধারন করে রেলের কাজ করেছে,তাদের ৫০%কমিশন দিতে হয়েছে।কিছু মারিং,কাটিং করতে হয়েে তাই অটোমেটিক খরচ বেড়েছে।

কনো কিছু নিয়ে মন্তব্য করার আগে যে বিষয় নিয়ে মন্তব্য করবেন সেই বিষয়ে আগে ভালো করে যেনে মন্তব্য করা ভালো। চট্টগ্রাম কক্সবাজার রেল প্রজেক্ট দুইটা লটে কাজ হয়, সেখানে ম্যাক্স গ্রুপ লট-২ এর কাজ করে, যা আইকনিক রেলওয়ে স্টেশন সহ কক্সবাজার থেকে চকরিয়া পর্যন্ত, আর বন্যায় ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হয়েছে লট-১ এ যা অন্য একটা কন্ট্রাক্টর কাজ করেছে। তাই বলবো না যেনে মন্তব্য করে মানুষকে বিভ্রান্ত করবেন না

@fryjs1040: The answer of question is NO. NO. NO. For your information, Dohazari to Cox’s Bazar Railway project is consisted of two lots. Lot-1: Dohazari to Chokoria part which was flood affected and constructed by another contractor rather than MAX. MAX Group has no involvement with Lot-1. Chokoria to Cox’s Bazar Railway project, which is Lot-2, is well constructed by MAX. Hope it is clarified clearly to you and the other viewers.

No, No. It’s not true. Let me explain. Dohajari to Cox’s Bazar project was divided into 2 groups: Lot 1 Dohajari to Chokoria and Lot 2 Chokoria to Cox’s Bazar. Lot 2 was constructed by Max infrastructure Ltd and CCECC, China. Lot 2 part also includes the Iconic Railway Station Building of Cox’s Bazar. The part (Lot1) you are mentioning is done by separate contractors and in no way, related with work and scope of Lot 2. Max Chairman and Max infrastructure Ltd. is not at all involved with that incident, no relation at all. Hope that you understood the actual situation.

Hmm,one oiler found. No doubt he has done a excellent job but in Bangladesh you require some connection and that is not bad basis on current situation.
