hello, after looking at a ton of videos for bread pudding I finally found yours. all the rest were just cubes of wet bread with milk. you made it the way my mother used to. the real southern way. Its funny how one dish can be made the same in different cultures but still be the same and just as yummy. my mom passed away without leaving a written recipe so you have restored a family favorite to me. thank you so much and God Bless you cause now I can pass it down to my own daughters.

This is how my mother and grandmother in the south cooked 100 years ago. Glad to see this recipe has held up in the 21 century. My mom also added shredded coconut to hers. I never wanted to try it because I didn't want to mess it up. But thanks to you now I can pass it on to my children & grands. Thank you for sharing an old recipe for such a simple dessert.

I make my bread pudding the same way but I add a can coconut milk. This is one of my favorite desserts. However,I use gloves when I mix the ingredients.

Thank you so much for uploading this. I've been looking for someone that made bread pudding that looked like my granny's bread pudding. I wanted to surprise her by making it, but did not know exactly how she made it. I definitely will be using this recipe. Thanks & Blessings!

To make it truly PR style, cook it in a bano de maria, and add the caramel that we typically use on flan. It's the way they do it in PR bakeries.

My mum, and myself later, made this but we always soak the cut up bread in water overnight then squeeze all the water out and then mix in by hand the butter, sugar, mixed spice and mixed dried fruit, eggs if you want to. We never use milk. When it comes out of the oven then we sprinkle some sugar on top while still hot. You can eat it hot or cold but do not refrigerate it.

I'm going to defend her. This is her channel and not yours...your in titled to your opinion, but that's it. If you don't like what you see then move on! This is a free country and we can use whatever ingredients we choose as well as her...secondly learn how to spell before you leave a comment! !!!!!!
@xicana7988 жыл бұрын
First of all everybody can make a dish and call it what they want. This has nothing to do with the ingredients or the name. I can make a Mexican stew and call it what I want, it doesn't mean all the Mexican race is going to jump on my ass cause I named it something else! Really! It's her dish and she can name it what she wants and if you don't like it ...move on ,but don't leave a negative feedback. Remember it's her channel and you clicked on it. ..Don't be so racist we have enough of that already!!!##

by the way no way. My nails are longer than yours and they are real I am not mixing this with my hands. It is much easier to use the potato masher and add the bread if you'd like to set a time with the milk and mash and then you get a much finer product.

Delicioso.

I did your bread pudding and my family loved it. And Iris Lopez I also have natural long nail for a guy. Iris I hope you hear of soap because Boricua and I use it to wash our hands before and during the cooking process. So keep your negative opinion to yourself and also you was the only as_hole with a negative whatever. Boricua keep up the great videos.
