That was a bad situation Paige got into with her leg. It looked like her ankle turned and that might of saved her knee. If her knee survives that awkward injury then I would say it is strong and should give her some confidence moving forward. Let's hope that this is the case. Geno seems to think it might be OK. KK, Ash, Azzi , Jana and Morgan were good. Allie Ziebel looks like she can help with the scoring issues. She is starting to look comfortable.

Watching that happen to Paige was gut-wrenching. I hope it's not serious and she can stay positive. Sarah was tremendous and so was KK. The whole team played well together

Jana is progressing extremely well. She needs more mental & physical control of her shots in the paint. I noticed how when she shoots the ball in the paint, she tosses it up off the middle to the top backboard before the ball goes in the net when under pressure. She can learn to finish using her forearms, hands, and fingertips to place the ball in the basket more directly. She's tall enough to do it. If she learns how to do this, she can be the next Aaliyah Edwards

Paige will be OK . She may not play Wednesday but she will play again . As for Jana congratulations passing to get into law school, the question is now when she has that worry behind her will we see the Jana we have seen during the Olympics. I most certainly hope so.

Another thing that UCONN does is they don't foul that often. Sarah rarely makes a foul and that's commendable. I was happy to see KK in playing a little more. She should be a starter. Yes, UCONN does take care of the ball well. Probably they get really good training on the basics. When teams don't dribble well, lose the ball, shoot well, that's something they can cut down on by practice, practice, practice. Get well, Paige.

Dear KK Arnold, I hope by some luck you see this post. First, you played fantastic! I see you! Next, respectfully, please listen to this old man and pass this on to the team. Imagine you are a pitcher in baseball, and the opposing pitchers keep hitting your players and the umps never offer a warning or toss them. And then, one day, an opposing pitcher throws a bean ball at your best player and hits its mark. If you are on the mound the next half inning, what do you think your next pitch is? Are you picking up what I am putting down??? The reason other teams keep fouling and refs continue to ignore the calls is because they THINK THEY CAN!!! Paige went down and Boskoe(?) rolled up on her leg and not one coach or player came to her defense! NOT A SINGLE ONE! Ask yourself what Diana Taurasi or Sophie Cunningham would have done if that was one of their teammates? Opposing teams need to be made to understand that cheap shots are NOT ACCEPTABLE!! I hear ya Jason. I used to coach women's high school basketball. I got T'd up several times when I got mad at refs for not calling flagrant fouls that could hurt players. Refs not only need to call games according to the rules, they also must protect players from injury from out-of-control bullies.

I don't think it was a cheap shot or an attempt to hurt paige. but it was reckless. the after math proves it was reckless. it was a freshman that just wanted to show her coach that she is diving around and hustling and fighting for every ball. and paige was extremely unlucky this happened to her.

@@TheDisruptiveOne No, that wasn't a dirty play, but since her freshman year there have been countless reckless interventions on Paige but few of them have been properly sanctioned. I remember a foul in the semi-final on her going to the rim which if it had been CC they would still be talking about today. I have been a volleyball referee, and generally I don't talk about my colleagues, but a few weeks ago on this very channel I said that it was time to start talking about it. KK was also at risk against Villanova

I think the prevailing thought though is that she is leaving. She is eligible for the W next season and I'm not sure her motivation to stay. Her BFF Paige will be gone and she already graduated.

Hey Phil and Ry, why why why???? Why was bascoe being reckless. There’s a difference between hussling and playing reckless. I’m so irritated at that situation!!! Took the enjoyment out the game for everyone watching both in the building and on the TV. Have you heard a building that quite before? She spoke after getting up about a flagrant foul and her voice travelled. Even through the television you heard it. Straight reckless!!!

I'm a UConn fan, but what is wrong with Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd, "PB" got 2 shots blocked against USC, and "AF" got 2 shots blocker today, when she first came back, she was on fire is her knee bothering her, you got Olivia Miles, Sonia Citron, Te-Hina Paopao, Aneesah Morrow, Hailey Van Lith and Lucy Olsen are play better basketball, when Paige and Azzi was Freshman and Sophomore you couldn't stop them, and Paige Redshirt Junior years.

I think UConn really worked on ball security since last year. They were really bad with all the turnovers coming from Nika, and the freshmen.
