The muffler is actually an approved Jack point. I put it on the kick stand and put my floor jack under the front of the muffler and jacked it up. It was triangulated between the jack, the kickstand, and the back wheel. It's very stable.

I didn't cover that really, because suspension setup is a subjective thing. The factory setup calls for Harley type E fork oil at 113mm. Harley doesn't publish the oil weight of it's oils, but general consensus seems to be that type E = 10 wt. As a former MX racer, and being 225lbs, I prefer a stiffer setup. I used 2 parts 10wt and 1 part 15wt to make my own 12.5w oil, and set it at 108mm. It seems pretty good for me. I have not played with the compression or rebound adjusters yet, that's next.

Good Video for Shade tree Mechanics One world of advice: do not remove the preload adjuster before you break looks the fork cap. The Fork cap can deform if it is seized. The Points of the Hex head will push. Then the preload adjust will not go back on. I just found this out doing mine. The fork cap is still not out of the housing.
