I can't wait to see your journey vicariously! This ol' gal is too creaky to walk very far, but I LOVE seeing the adventures of friends! A friend hiked the entire Pacific Crest Trail - his blog was so wonderful, fun and insightful. Have a wonderful, healthy, safe time!

So exciting! We're looking forward to the series. We've been wanting to bike the Portuguese coastal camino but haven't yet scheduled it. The challenge, the history, the passport and, hopefully, some spiritual significance are our reasons.

Thank you! We just made it to Pamplona and already we have had some serious highs and lows. Tonight I"m nursing a blister but we are headed to dinner with some other long term travelers to a restaurant that used to be frequented by Hemingway. Every day is truly an adventure! 👍

I've heard of the Camino. Can't remember if it was a documentary or a tourism book. Never saw a movie or a read a book about it. I probably would not walk it but never say never! Will be interesting to hear how you are doing.

Maybe we'll end up talking you into it! (Or who knows, maybe we'll talk you out of it haha). You can also ride a bike instead of walking if that is more your thing. But we are definitely walkers!

I will likely choose the Frech route if I go alone since that route has such robust infrastructure and support, but if a friend is able to join me I may choose the Portuguese from Porto since my friend has more limited time available. If I go the French wayit will be when the upper route is open since those views on the first day speak to my heart.

There is a very good book and experiential journal called "The Journey Within" that you may find enriches and deepens your camino experience. It was recommended to me so I wanted to share that with you.

Great question. We will be sending it ahead to Santiago de Compostela from Saint Jean PDP, where it will wait for us to arrive. We'll talk more about it after we go through the process but it seems like it will be very easy
