Worked as stage manager for ruben many years ago in dublin ,on his comeback before he joined the beuna vista social club-beautiful pianist and a really smart and courteous gentleman,absolute pleasure to watch in whelans in dublin around 1994?? 650 people in a 300 capacity bar,but nobody gave out!!

I saw them at the beacon theater with my cousin and we both left there in tears of the emotions they were incredible including Mr cooder,,,,, I am so thankfull to god that we saw those living legends before they passed .... Its a feeling I cant describe...

Lo mas bonito que he oido. Una y otra vez escucho esta composicion y la verdad, pasa despercibida para mi la aportacion de Ry Coder, al que si le agradezco su aportacion al conocimiento mundial de este pianista genial. Why is everyone being so uptight about Ry Cooder's slide guitar? The layered effect that it creates really stands out to me. It just gives me chills. I know that slide guitar doesn't have it's roots in Son music, but it's one of Ry's ways of mixing it up a little and thats one of the many reasons why Buena Vista Social Club is one of the best albums ever.
