I don't know why, but at 1:43 I started to cry watching his hands move over the piano keys. Magical to see one of my favorite albums of all time behind the scenes.

Anything Ry Cooder does is progressive, expressive, and truly where other musicians would love to be educated and exposed to. Cuba...how cool is that?!! Tks Ryland for exploring so many different idioms of music. Vince James

Went to Cuba as a tourist in 2016. Our resort had a small group of musicians who played at various locations around the complex. It was different to see and hear 6 guys standing together all playing acoustic instruments, as a small group of spectators gathered. Cigar smoke, rum, and great musicians. Can’t wait to get back.

I could listen to Ruben go off on that piano all day. Whoever has all of the outtakes of him doing so hopefully realizes just how lucky they are!!

S Feg. Just can't believe mine is the only comment. I implore everybody to research this topic , some on YT, some on Wikipedia, and you will be rewarded. Instagator : R Cooder , Recorder : Wim Wenders. For all music lovers this is truly extraordinary.

Yes indeed, Home Plate. Isn't this something and isn't Ry Cooder often on the cusp of the history of good music before most people knew. Gotta feeling you know me. Yes indeed ,Home Plate.

Until now, some companies are selling shows saying BVSC, when it's not the original members. I know that name is patent registered, so I find this offensive, free riding on someone else's fame. This movie changed my life.

Thankfully they avoided most of what America has to offer, what Cuba offers is far better for the world.

If it wasn’t for the American that put it together….. 🙄 go hate on an entire country elsewhere. Every country has something wonderful to offer culturally speaking, albeit food, music, tradition, etc.
@CheyenneKid2 жыл бұрын
@@milkcow Ry left America exactly to get away from what America has to offer.
@milkcow2 жыл бұрын
@@CheyenneKid uhhh you realize Ry has always lived in the United States, right? For 75 years, right? In California…. Pretty much in the same town until he moved to a different town in Cali about 7 or 8 months ago… but yeah… he left America. 😂 🤦♀️ Traveling and making music is not equivalent to leaving one’s country because they don’t like what it offers. He’s not an expatriate In fact I just saw him last June with Taj Mahal in San Francisco. They have an album together and performed 2 shows at a venue in San Francisco because “he doesn’t like what ‘America’ offers.” 🙄
