@@PsychicJaguar19 not that, we just don’t want her to be exploitable with her hurtboxes. I’ve seen players who will abuse her bad hurtboxes and jump on wakeup to get a free punish on me. What I will start doing is F2 into upwards fan for a jump punish. If they don’t jump, I can amplify it for a more damaging kombo.

the moves that are consistently used are both her fastest and longest reaching. For example, gutted is just too damn slow and has no defense mix-up despite it being a long chained move. Her kick attack is difficult to pull of when she kicks you up into the air and it cant be used in a combo as you can't do anything once you are up there. Her 2 KB moves are essentially her best kit due to speed and the mix-up in attacks.

Kitana has several good MIDs, pressure and awesome kombos. Her second variation is a pain in the ass to fight against and her razors deal too much damage AND cheap damage, and he says: “buff Kitana?” Lmao, I love playing her but a buff on what?

Honestly I think how they did Shang's v3 is how they should have done every tournament variation. Like with Shapeshifter you actually get 4 custom moves but give up soul steal. Just make each tournament variation a separate 3 slot ability and they would have a lot more freedom to add and subtract as many abilities from each variation as they want. So like here that would make it so NRS could either give her upward fan to any of her variations, OR put it in her base moveset and then be able to have certain tournament variations take it out for balancing. And every character could be added to and/or subtracted from in the same way. I think they really hamstrung their character design by forcing tournament variations to comply with the same rules as custom variations. Ninja Shang is a great example of how it all should have been done imo. I'd love to see a big patch make these changes and add most of the unused custom abilities to their characters' underused variations. Like, give Sindel's air stance to her Loud and Klear variation; give Shang Tsung's Sorcery buff/debuff to his v2; spread Kotal's totems around; etc etc.

I think her main issue is, her strings on block have zero pushback. The two best strings she has, it's the other players turn and she's left right in their face. No plus frames to be found either. She has good tools, but her base move set is painfully average. 6:45 like right here. That's one of her good strings. On block, she's in danger even though she's not punishable. It's the same thing with her B1 string. On block, she has a decision to make and that decision becomes even harder if characters have mix. 8:05 can't forget this atrocity either. Her U2 fucking SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS.

I’ve been doing up to 30 hit combos in mkx and it’s no fun to be in the air for that long and also putting someone in the air for that long especially when half the game is a corner combo
