Snipers are clunky af in this game, but I'm fine with that. In a situation so up close and personal snipers really shouldn't stand a chance unless they can hit their shot. That's why you run Dexterity and a pistol secondary. If anything were to change I'd make the punch half the damage it does now to the front and only lethal from the back. 1 bullet melee combo is just dumb for this game.

the buff doesn't make the snipers more powerful, just faster. you can't hit a quad feed all singles with paladin on pc, and barely with koshka.

@@ExoGhost yep thats it, and you should generally avoid changing that since unless the game uses raw input, your mouse movement will be interpolated. Meaning you won't be as accurate as you would using 6 and having "pure" cursor movement.

In all honesty no it is not worth it specially on PC. you are going to be struggling to get in a lobby certain times of the day, and it has a lot of issues with specialists. i really do wish i could tell you to get but all you going to get out of it is frustration. but if you still want to get it at least get it on console then you wont have to deal with the insane amount of tryhards every single match.

The buff doesn't make snipers 100% better off rip. All it did was make the fire rate a little faster to where it's possible to hit clips. If you're just going for a good k/d with the snipers it wont make much of a difference.

People were asking Treyarch to make them shoot as fast as they do on console. That would be a buff. Games should definitely be balanced around the best players. These clips right here show that snipers are good in experienced hands. People complain when a gun has a high skill floor. Everyone asking them to be made the same as on console really just wanted the skill floor to be lowered. Fact of the matter is that the skill ceiling is insanely high, and the faster rate of fire is just going to mean these amazing players will be able to dominate even more. The sniper buffs and the MOG-12 buffs are cancerous.

The snipers did need the buff. First off, not everyone is as good as you. Second, the buff isn't in the first shot basis. The buff makes no difference in the first shots. It's for the followup shots, for the people who go for clips. It's just too slow to even hit a quad feed all singles.

Compared to all the past “golden era” cods, todays snipers are trash. Well the condition is. No aim assist anymore. Area to kill is in my opinion okay. Snipers are supposed to hit and kill people in one shot. That’s the whole purpose of a sniper. I’m a pure reg-fun user. Subs and ar’s are my best friends but I do watch and pay attention to snipers. Wondering if we can even call it a buff when it's something that should've been a thing from the start... Really dumb how they basically decided fuck snipers on PC cuz KBAM but forgot all the other players with regguns also use KBAM. Not like Paladin can compete with any of the guns in the game anyway, regardless of the changes. 400ms ads means in 100% accuracy scenario you'll die before you can get the first shot off in most close quarters situations and flinch makes sure you're useless against any AR/LMG at long range that has good recoil pattern (so think KN, Maddox, ICR, any of the LMGs, Auger). Also, some testing shows that even when you fully ADS there's still some strange delay before your bullets go to the target (they're not accurate until a bit later after you ADS), even if only by few frames of added time. Maybe it's just the servers/netcode but looks like snipers really aren't meant to be good in this game, let alone on PC.

I hope everyone realizes that when the say “buff” They mean on consoles, and not PC. With a mouse sniper can be super accurate and with aim assist not being on PC it is fair game. But on console every gun has aim assist but snipers, and without customizing a controller for better aiming they suck. So on console they suck and PC they are OP.

I know I’m about a month late on this, but this video is in response to Treyarch giving in to SoaR Rxqe’s complaint video on snipers shooting slower on PC. Basically he worded the video in such a way that snipers needed to be buffed because they are getting completely fucked over on PC. Console players and the BO4 subreddit believed him, and started pushing for sniper rifles to be buffed on PC so they have the same statistics as on console. One of my friends tried arguing with SoaR on the subject matter, proposing that a sniper buff on PC would fuck the meta and ultimately harm BO4’s longevity on PC. SoaR agreed with all his arguments. Didn’t change his stance on the subject matter, however. Come February, and sniper rifles became the most prominent weapon in BO4 thanks to Treyarch buffing them. Where can this champion of quickscoping be? Playing WW2 on PC.

It's very unfortunate that Treyarch listened to this SoaR Rxqe guy and his poorly reasoned video. The changes to the snipers make little sense, just like many other changes in the upcoming patch (why nerf stock on PC?). The balancing on PC is pretty decent right now actually, a couple of small adjustments would have been all that was needed. Instead lobbies will be filled with snipers, Mogs and people camping for streaks with the Comsec device from now on. Moreover, we've already tried the snipers with the increased rechamber speed during the beta and it didn't work at all, so why go back to it? I don't get it. Had to lol @ the G502 comment by the way (1:15).

Poorly reasoned? This is an example of someone who hates snipers so much that they literally can't listen to reasoning. The buff was indeed needed. All it did was make the snipers A LITTLE faster and if you're good enough with a reg gun, you can easily outgun a sniper from up close even after the buff. All they did was make it the same with console. It seems like you're the type of person who use automatics but still can't hang with snipers and I don't think the snipers are the problem .
