I'm not particularly good in this ship, but I found her DPM can be pretty nasty when all guns are firing. I just wish she didn't handle like a the helmsman just got back from shore duty after binge drinking at half a dozen different bars the previous night.

Yes, in a game where you face nothing higher than 380mm caliber and the CV leaves you alone, of course you dump on everything. That very rarely happens though. She's not bad but it gets so much harder to extract her potential even in average matchmaking.

And when played by a super unicum player that plays the game for a living. I think it is strange when people watch streamers do well in a ship and then think the ship is good. If you play wows for a living you can make bad ships seem good.

@@Nick-tm2sw well, streamer choose one good battle with this ship, but how many battles he just die at the start we dont know, so its say nothing about the ship. I just goit it and im not surviving first kontakt with enemy, unless im hiding somewhere without chance to shoot

I'm being played this ship for a while doing my grind ahead for Tier X Des Moines by mostly ahead for Ranked Battles. I love your videos by the way, but I simply either spamming HE or AP makes a good damage farm but her armor is terribly inconsistent to chose on survivability.

My advice as someone who also had Buffalo as the first t9: Just try your best to stay safe and survive until the lategame. You will soon enough realize when you have a chance to make a play. It's important to learn which BBs overmatch you and which you can bounce. Get range before B-hull. Enjoy!

12 203mm guns with a reload speed of as low as 10.1 secs and enhanced AP shells, while the ship also has 27mm bow armor to bounce off 380mm BB AP shells. You get the idea.

When I was grinding DM I got 79% winrate in Buffalo over 34 games and thought that this ship is incredibly giga mega broken. Then I learned people actually don't like Buffalo, what the hell

People don't like it because it is a bad ship. You would need to play more than 34 battles before the win rate you got would mean anything.

@@Nick-tm2sw The winrate will obviously drop to something more reasonable like 60% after more battles. But it's still a solid ship. The only thing that really sucks about it is rudder shift, and it's not even that bad

It has the worst range of any Heavy Cruiser from T8 up except for the Tulsa. The Baltimore has 15.8 range and 10 sec reload so for the extra 3 guns you gain 1.5 sec of reload time and lose 0.2 km range, 1km worse concealment, and a whopping 3.4 seconds longer rudder shift and 70 m of turning circle. On open water maps this ship is a death trap, people shoot you all day long and you don't have the range to hit back. If MM puts you on a flank with one DD and a BB and you have to run to the other side for the island cover your teammates on that flank are left hanging and will probably get pushed.

@@Nick-tm2sw it probably was down to the mm back in the day. buffalo had to deal with far less overmatch, and its still a fantastic ship, especially for slamming dd's
