After an evening alone, a contemplating Bill drops in on Joanna, who's just had a lousy date. Bill proposes marriage, but has second thoughts the next day. Joanna is also on the fence. A coin flip may decide their fate.

One of the best shows of the 1980’s and it only lasted one season...too bad, could’ve been a show with many seasons. Great cast, decent writing, strong direction...”Buffalo Bill” had all that.

I agree. My family watched this show during its original run, and I remember that during some episodes I wondered why it was being presented as a comedy when Bill's awful behavior goes right off the humor radar. (This episode is quite mild in that respect when compared to some others.) I have no doubt that his unredeemable character is mainly why it was unsuccessful in the ratings. And like millions of others, I love Dabney Coleman!
