Buffalo Bill (June 8, 1983)

In "Buffalo Beat", a bad interview on the show results in the casting of a co-host for Bill. He thinks it will ruin the program (since a co-host may make HIM less popular). Makeup artist Newdell also has some words with Bill.

The man "Bill" has his arm around at 0:46 was the actual mayor of Buffalo, NY at that time-James D. Griffin who served as mayor from 1978-1993.

This predates The Larry Sanders Show by a decade! Absolutely amazing to see! Such a shame about the laugh track - it's soooo unnecessary!

It’s a stinking sitcom. A laugh track is necessary unless the show is filmed live.

@@TheChristianAspie892 But it's not shot like a traditional 3-camera sitcom with a live studio audience. It's more like The Office or Larry Sanders and in that traditional. I suppose MASH did it before any of these shows.
