Bass needed that for his confidence. He's gonna make the kick in the playoffs that end the chiefs season this time! Go Bills!

I love our kicker, I am so proud of him and he deserves all the praise! He's got my full confidence in him. We got your back TBass!
@wingedbuffalo4670Ай бұрын
VERY happy for T-Bass of course ... but the entire FG team deserves the praise. To be able to hit a kick from that far away requires NOT "JUST" the kicker striking the ball perfectly, but it ALSO requires perfection by the entire FG team: 1. the long snapper firing the ball accurately and quickly to the holder; 2. the holder catching the ball cleanly/not bobbling or fumbling it and placing the ball down quickly in perfect time; 3. the holder also spinning the ball slightly if necessary once it's placed on the ground to keep the laces AWAY from the kicker (laces towards the kicker virtually guarantees a MIS-HIT and terrible kick); 4. the holder holding the ball at the correct angular tilt according to the kicker's preference; AND 5. the entire Offensive Line blocking the opposing rushers properly (even more essential than normal, because the kick has to take a lower trajectory to drive the ball the greater distance on a long FG (and the necessary lower trajectory makes it easier for the defense to block the kick).

Looking at the side shot of the FG replay, I think that 61 yd FG had enough height and steam on it when it cleared the crossbar that it would have been good from at least 65+ yards, perhaps even 70 !!!

@cheetahsarecool1054Ай бұрын
An underrated performance of the game was Elam, only gave up 1 big throw that I can think of, & even on that he almost got back to break it up, other than that I feel like he did a real good job, recovered the fumble, also pretty sure he punched one out too but the WRs leg ended up being down. He has like 5 takeaways in his career now if I remember the stat right, which considering how he hasn't been on the field a ton other than his rookie year is pretty impressive, very opportunistic, if he can play in coverage like he did today every game, he could end up a starter longterm, if they don't extend Douglas.

After that dirty hit on Coleman(helmet to helmet), I don't think a lot of people miss Poyer anymore. That was so dirty what Poyer did, and he claimed it was a hit to the chest(when it was clearly an intended helmet to helmet hit).

I'm going to lay it down like this: IF healthy, the Bills can beat any team. With Cooper and Milano injured, Coleman likely out a few weeks, and Von Miller looking like he's asleep, I do not have confidence they can beat the Lions, the Chiefs, or the Ravens.

@@donr5113 somehow i feel like you giving more examples doesn't disprove my point
@donr5113Ай бұрын
@@ARTFLDDGR LOL trying to disprove what? 1)Your point was dated about 4 years. 2)Usually professional kickers get better over the years...not worse. 3) Might want to use an example of him actually costing the Bills a win. 4)You decide to comment this after he actually hits a 61 yd game winner????? A more recent example w/o bad weather would make a lot more sense. It's called logic my friend. Must be a disgruntled NE fan!
@ARTFLDDGRАй бұрын
@@donr5113 1) it would be 3 years ago 2) usually certainly leaves room for him not getting better, and there's plenty of kickers that don't stick around 3) ok?
@donr5113Ай бұрын
@@ARTFLDDGR Kickers that just signed a contract w/ a moderate cap hit stick around...3 years is an awfully long time, especially when he just missed a game winner last year. Where are these better kickers you talk about....they're on other NFL teams. Nothing to talk about here other than I can't believe you posted a get rid of Bass comment after hitting a 61 yd game winner. That makes tons of sense. Logic must befuddle you.
