Buffalo & Erie County Naval & Military Park - Exploring Three Amazing WWII Navy Ships - Buffalo, NY

I wrap up this series with my good friend Tolle from @TheTolleRoad. We journey to Canalside in Buffalo, New York to tour three magnificent decommissioned Navy ships. We tour the USS The Sullivans, a destroyer, the USS Little Rock, a light cruiser and the USS Croaker, a Gato-class submarine. All three were World War II ships that served the United States Navy. We give a good exploration of all them as only we can. I have a real passion for WWII history and this vlog puts me right in it! Do Come Along!!!

Great stuff, I share your same passion, did that tour too and I didn’t want to leave it was so fascinating, but boy scouts were loading up for overnight “camping”… what a dream for a kid. Every square inch has a function, it’s nearly too much to take in. I love trying to imagine the process and effort by the engineers that designed these vessels, then the construction, then the maintenance.

It is really fascinating how they literally use every square inch of space for some kind of function! This was a great tour, but I think I need to go back and take one of the professional guided tours and just leave the camera at home!!!

The Croaker and the Sullivan were cousins to my ship the USS Little Rock and will always be in my heart Veteran US Navy 1973-1976. God Bless all the sailors and marines.

That was cool tour 😎 the submarine was claustrophobic 😱 I can’t imagine what that was like full of stinky men 😬😂

Apparently, they would staff it with a crew of 60 sailors! I can't even imagine what that must have been like in that tiny space!!!

Pretty cool video, I toured the USS Lexington ( while still in use) in Pensacola Fl. It was huge, the runway for the planes was incredible. Now I have to see these ships you toured for us! Thanks for sharing! Stay safe and GOD bless!! Just an fyi, the nite club for the naval sailors was all glass and sunken dance floor! Beautiful place! They had( have) one of the best clubs I’ve been to! GOD bless the USA 🇺🇸

Taking my family to Niagara falls this weekend and plan on doing this tour. The website was vague. Does standard price allow you to walk on the ships or do you have to pay extra?

When I was there last, you paid one price to tour all three vessels. Totally worth it in my opinion!!

The submarine was pretty cool, it sure I would want to be deployed on a submarine to small and creepy for me. I remember Brasso too, you can buy it in the stores at least you could at one time. We probably dated ourselves even knowing what Brasso was.

I don't think I would have done well as a submariner. There was only 3 of us on that sub and it was way too much!!! I've spent many a night on firewatch polishing shower pipes with Brasso. Amazing stuff!
