That area of Buff used to be depressing (maybe 20-30 years ago) and I recall initial plans were to have a Bass Pro store be the highlight… man I’m so happy with the direction the development took instead, embracing Buffalo’s heritage. It’s just a great place to be down there, uniquely Buffalo, and the momentum continues.

I can remember when the area was basically just the remnants of the half-demolished Aud. We would go down to HSBC to watch the Sabres, and it was kind of a scary place to be. I am so happy with what they ended up doing to make it such a cool place to visit now!!!

Yeah, those walls were a bit high for me! I preferred seeing them from the comfort of an airconditioned Ferris wheel gondola! 😎

This was a great video, I enjoyed watching all sites/ areas you covered , some really nice spots in Buffalo and it’s waterfront/ Riverwoorks area. The River works is pretty cool, I like the repurposed space. It’s not a big surprise that Tolle has had a Labatts or two good to see the series continue. It’s been a trend over the last decade or so to repurpose industrial areas and make them into entertainment centers.

I have to really give it to the City of Buffalo. The whole Canalside area used to be just a dilapidated area where the former arena "The Aud" was half torn down. It's now a super family friendly place!
