Great ending to a fantastic series! I liked the solitude we had with a March trip, but I miss seeing the green in the landscape. I'll definitely be back to the BNR. Great work!! Also, Pete I think told me about Rodney being your dad. I LOVED seeing the "Darlings" on Andy Griffith growing up. :-)

Thank you sir!!! We are thinking of returning during the Fall. That river is incredible. We planned on September or October of this year, but dad is being inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame during that time, so I'll be spending some time with him since he'll be in the area. Enjoying your current series as well on the other Buffalo, lol. Stay safe brother!

excellent video. i paddled the BR in March '23...epoch experience. had kind of hoped you would do some drone footage of the rapid below Rush...although it might have just been flooded out. at lower levels, there is a hydraulic that i found to be very scary. hoping to run it again this march... thanks for the video, really enjoyed it. again, excellent!!!

Don't know how I missed this last Part of your series Brian. Again, I love the Drone shots! Probably would be very difficult to get an approval to do this nowadays. I'd love to see what you did for the seat arrangement for the Yukon, Is it similar to Alan's from B&A? I purchased the Prijon High Back cushions and seat padding and it works well for me but I haven't occupied the cockpit for 7 days. Great series! I can't wait to float that one myself someday! Jeff

Absolutely Jeff! Obtaining a special use permit is challenging these days, depending on the jurisdiction. Yes, the seat is a spot on hybrid design between Pete’s and Alan’s, with a WS back and Dagger seat cushion. It’s really comfortable for long durations. You definitely need to hit that river. It’s magnificent!

What a great video again and great adventure. If I’m not mistaken, are you all so on River Kings videos which I love watching them. I kept looking at your hat with the logo on it and knowing I have seen that before. What type of hammock is used in this video? That is so cool who you are and your dad. Always loved his music and so talented. Keep up the kayak camping videos, they are done so good.

Yep, we've been on a couple of trips with Pete and the RKs. They're great folks! As far as hammocks go, I prefer the War Bonnet Blackbird XLC. It's a fantastic set up. Thank you again!

incredible! Would you recommend that many miles over those amount of days? Or is there something you would do differently? A different time of year, more nights, less/more miles? Any tips you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Great work!

This run was actually unusual, as we had to negotiate a flood. It is difficult to really say, or estimate, an average distance traveled per day at normal river levels due to the increased river speed we experienced. Needless to say, we were really moving after the rains! On many of our trips, we average about 20 miles or so a day. We planned this trip accordingly. We allowed plenty of time in the event of a mishap. This is a common practice for us. We also add time for every additional person in our party. In this case, it was good that we did, as we spent two days in one location until the river was safe to navigate again. We would recommend early spring, or late fall depending on river levels. Weekdays are best in our opinion due to less traffic on the river. When planning, definitely allow for stopping time. There is much to see! Depending on your pace, you can experience some of the most amazing sections of the river in 4-5 days. We would have preferred to paddle far past Rush, but time was not on our side. We do plan to return and complete the river entirely. In closing, spring will more than likely offer great river levels. Just please watch the weather. That river, like many, can rise in levels very quickly!! Thank you so much for watching!!!!
