I say the best stuff is the secret magic sauce which comes with the 2nd engine... because it cost 11k xp to unlock, same weight/chance on fire as the stock engine, but actually has LESS POWER than the stock engine (down from 640 to 600hp)... oh it does have 70 more engine health - WHO CARES!?

They butchered the turret when it went HD, so you couldn't sidescrape or angle for shit. Now that its turret front is increased to 155, and its mantlet to 180, it can actually do some nice hulldowning when not facing tier 8 tanks.

Played the KV 3 10 years ago and yeah, when you get such match ups, with a bit of luck, it's pretty much seal clubbing. Even better experience was the KV2 with the 152mm derp in Tier 3 and 4 matches with you being the only top dog. Killing 5 or 6 enemies on average was easy because you pretty much one-shot 3/4 of the enemy team. It's incredible how big the difference between some tanks can be in WoT.

I've been loving the tiger 2 since the buff, it can actually go hull down and bounce same tier tanks now and the dpm increase has been great. It took them a long time to finally give the tank some love but I'm glad they finally did.

Didn't know it got buffed. Can't tell the difference when I fight them anyways. I don't think you were supposed to ever shoot a KV-3 in the turret. The hull armor is a big weakness.

The KV-3's hull is a sidescraping monster (Sidescraping is almost the gimmick for the whole tech tree line), and the geometry and placement of the turret also makes it a superb "Reverse Sidescrape" design... but this was all negated by how easy it was to butter through the front of the turret, making the hull and the turret design almost completely irrelevant unless you are baiting impatient players by pulling out only after you hear them bounce off your hull side armor. So basically you have to feed off of noobies to grind through the vehicle at any respectable rate. The hull front never faired well at a 30 degree angle, and attempting a 45 degree angle makes it easy to butter through the side armor instead. It wasn't uncommon for the T-150 to outperform KV-3s in the same match.

Before buff the grates weakness for KV-3 was the gun mantled. But now it is a slower but better armored IS-2. It is bigger and slower. But the pure side scrape and raw thinness* (thickness damit!) all around is grate! T-150 is also a highlight with grate speed and armor for a heavy! Need some gold but mhe. It will like all tanks (except the OP perms) get eaten alive vs the high tiers. And really I love the IS-2S more. I love the extra armor to fight off KV-2's and looks nice. + the extra credit income is nice. So I get to play IS-2 but with all the pros from China hull and extra HE protection. Lacking with just a little speed and not KV-3 side scrape armor. If it was not for Eq2.0 I would be playing my KV-3. More fun then IS-3 witch is outclassed in EVERY way when compared to same tier premiums. Even vs other tech tree tanks! Like the power creep made IS-3 Dum. F you WG. Greed even hurts the Russian tanks. IS-3 was good at everything before. Now it only got the troll armor and nothing else. And hit it strait on with or without gold by the OP prems in the game that go out of the window too. Only side armor can eat shots. The same with T10. And to some extent Chinees IS-2. The reason KV-3 hull works is due to being like the KV-1. Strait. So you can angle for maximum tickness where the enemy will shoot. IS-3 you can not really do that as you always going to leave something they can pen. Reverse side scraping being the only way to have a chance but even that fails. Due to roof armor but more importantly not being able to shoot around the corner without sticking your back armor out. (Jp E100 rage was fun back in the day ) But KV-3 if you play it like a Heavy you will stand a chance agents the enemy. But it is not fool proof. But there are some tanks in the game nowadays that are fool proof..... Def

The problem with the KV-122 is that it's "only" got 6 degrees of gun depression, the old OP KV-1S had 8 degrees which made it so much more flexible.

2:23 Personally I preferred the 100 mm gun on the IS. While you lose out on the raw alpha strike, you get very good accuracy (good enough to snipe if you have to), good aim time, and a good RoF that has saved my butt on so many occasions where the 122 mm would have gotten me killed without a doubt. Sure the 122 mm is fun, but I just prefer the wonderful consistency of the 100 mm. Edit: 4:23 um QB, the tiger 1, 131, and the Japanese Tiger had 25 mm of roof armor last I checked, which hadn't changed even after the E 100 line buff (I wish they left the long 88 on the Tiger 1 alone; it was so much fun having a 5.4 second reload even without premium consumables)

The Kv heavies (namely Kv3 + Kv4) shines the best when you're losing the match. I got an Ace for my kv4 in a similar situation like: "oh sh*t we're losing! Oh god the enemy tanks are everywhere! Shoot". I shoot and shoot and shoot, and we managed to win, not as intense as this replay but it nailed me an Ace which I thought wasn't possible.
