IS-4 has amazing armor, especially while sidescraping, on the other hand it is not the fastest, but still not slowest, overall it is great tank for people who like good armored heavy tanks

@@LordOfChaos.x IS-4 in WoTB also has 160mm, but only the Lower side whwre the tracks are but theres a catch on it where it has a strip of 50mm bit angled armor so do be careful with it. As for what you said having 140mm, that one is the upper side.

the side armor is nice but its front mounted turret wont make it as efficient as middle or rear mounted turret side scrapers

I blocked 14k damage in mine once while side scraping, it got buffed on wot console recently. Took them forever to give us the PC buffs but they gave it an extra 10mm on the upper plate.

I think you had a bit of a tunnel vision in the first game, you could have taken out the arty when you first spotted him and could have gained more control on that flank which would have allowed you to play more defensively and also help maus because he had so many hitpoints.

I love my IS4. Strong gun and armor, decent speed. Always had very good games with it. My first T10 I believe. After the buff even better. I always have good games in it and bounce a lot of shots. It's like the perfect average tank.

Did they buff the armor after the revamp substantially? I still remember its humongous paper driver's hatch in the front, one of the main reasons why it sucks as a tier10 HT. And LOL at that 277, using the hidden ruski skill, Last Stand.

They changed half of the turret's autopen 30mm armor to 52mm and the driver's hatch is 240mm. But I don't think that has been a weakspot in years.

I absolutely enjoy the armor pn IS-4, the only thing i wish it had more of, is the gun depression. Going from a wonderful ST-I to IS-4 really makes me miss that gun depression. Oh and accuracy, well, ST-I is worse, and a bunch of my fully aimed shots still miss lol

Very nice tank skin. I hope that Wargaming can fully transition from pay-to-win and excessive grind to selling cosmetics. It works for League of Legends and DOTA2, and I think the model is adequate for World of Tanks as well. Pimped-up visual on your player stats page, custom garage that people can visit, an expansion of dog tags idea with 3d animations.. there are a lot of ideas to explore or import from other games that do well with cosmetics.

I had absymal games today. No matter how well I played, 27% WR. steamrolled by the MM. I had to stop playing after 11 games because the gameplay experience was so bad. I was playing well...but my teams were so bad and imbalanced it was unplayable. This isn't the only day games have been this way and its really dismaying.

I have always said this, it really doesn't matter what armour you have as the majority of players use only Premium rounds now. WG possibly need to make them limited, by this maybe max of 5 allowed in tank. Or maybe 10.

The Problem I have with the IS-4 is it has too little DPM. I'd like to see it have 200-300dpm more, equal to the OBJ. 277 or WZ-111 5A, I think it could become the Starter Heavy Line. It's the Jack of all Trades of the Heavys, but that also means it's Master of None. Sad to see but thats how it is.

I love is4. It is first tank that actually feels like heavily armored for me. It bounce over 5800dmg yesterday. Hull is Kinda easy target to Hi pen guns but i don't hate this tank for that. Yeah sometimes is4 just Artied, wolf packed and die. But still....

90 percent of the time in T34 at tier9 if Is-4 face hugged me,I would put shots through his top of the turret T34 is taller than IS4 so had zero problems doing that and if I saw T34 hulldown long distance I just F'ed off, close range shot his roof of the turret it was 50/50 pen due IS 4 bad accuracy and IS4 had 130mm so no trouble over matching the roof.

IS-4 definitely not a close quarter “ambush” tank…its all about how you make use of its armour profile..Angle it properly..it can absorb anything

QB talking about how IS4 is good in brawling ignoring fact that he is spamming gold at e5 while receaving AP shots. One gold shell in upper plate from e5 and the brawl would end, but luckily WG decided to give super grind boost with schemes , personal reserves etc. to red players so they can have X tier too. I think they even don't know what to do with that X tier in battle, but as far as they are in enemy team its good.

The is4 is the only tank in the game that I carry a full gold Loadout on only having 30 rounds limits you so much you cannot afford to carry any high explosive any standard because of rng. I have ran out of rounds so many times in this tank
