Pka is acid dissociation constant which is used to indicate the strength of an acid
@GeorgeCronigen9 күн бұрын
The problem at 3:36 has an issue. Your initial solution has a certain volume which is not declaired then you add some more volume which is also not declaired. You cannot arrive at a reliable result if you have only the concentration because concentration says nothing about the amount of substance that reacted with another substance. If you had just only one solution and you wanted to calculate the ph it would be ok because you start with a specific volume that is unknow but the concentratiions are derived from the same volume. Plz remove them video or at least this part cause its totaly unacceptable. My only hesitance not to give a huge hug is that the concentration of Naoh is dervided after it was added to the solution.

You comitted mistake as you plugged in number of moles in Henderson Husselbatch equation
@fegosmrhighmass46102 ай бұрын
It's still correct because the volumes given for acid & base are different.

What if the added concentration of NaOH is larger than 0.2 when subtracting it will produce a negative?
@patrickstar76933 жыл бұрын
It gets always talked about the addition of a strong acid or strong base to a buffer... my question would be how to calculate the ph with the addition of a weak acid?? Lets say the addition of acetic acid to a phosphate buffer

What if u have been asked to find the ph when given constant volume and two moles

What is pKa of solution?
@DuruRuth-db6uy9 ай бұрын
I thought you will add the pka + the log but, you minus it
@WesleyMears-l9jАй бұрын
On the last equation it should be 0.025/0.02= 1.25 Log (1.25)=0.0961 PH= 2.125+0.0961 = PH 2.22 this is a better equation

how did we get 10/1 as an answer ?

@vidhatrighat5868 Жыл бұрын
we need to find the log of what gives one. we know that log of 10 is equal to 1, hence the ratio of base/acid should be 10, making the ratio 10/1
@zuzu13310 ай бұрын
you need to do antilog because you dont need log there as ratio is the only division
@abdulaisumaila84384 ай бұрын
It's a ratio . She was just trying to write the answers in a ratio form 😊
