He went undefeated in the SWAC 2 years in a row and they didn’t even make an offer to extend him. But this is apples to bowling balls. Jackson St, has a student body of 7000. Colorado has a student enrollment of over 33,000 with a long list of alumni. At the end of the day, the SWAC is glad he left. Because none of the other schools could compete or keep up with what he brought to the table. Had he stayed, it would’ve eventually been like Alabama playing in the SWAC. Eventually, Jackson St would’ve applied to be an FBS program, but with a student body of only 7000 it wasn’t going to get approved.

Jackson had Coach Prime for 2.5 years, .5 more then he promised, and look at the outcome. While he was there economically the city as well as the university prospered. But the chambers of commerce and the university would not honestly work with Coach Prime. Coach Prime even voiced his concerns, used his own salary and the university reneged on its contractual agreement and the University President publicly wished failure on Coach Prime future. The people who were assigned to speak to Coach Prime we not ready. Now that economical train is gone.
