Everybody gets to shine here. SMG proves again she can convincingly carry off a totally different personality. A.S.H. as Giles reacting to Willow walking in remains a favourite, but C.C. as Cordelia also has a brilliant moment, being all charm to Angel - she's not giving up yet.

1. Funny thing about Cordelia mentioning she's a Slayer when it comes to dating: Charisma originally auditioned for the role of Buffy and Sarah auditioned for the role of Cordelia. 2. In case you don't know this yet, Sarah is actually a brunette. Blonde is her iconic look. If you look up pix of her when she was young, you'll see her natural hair color. Cruel Intentions is close to that hair color of hers. 3. Your reaction to Giles being surprised by Willow's ghost and knowing he's got some kind of dark past, was awesome.

So there's a big advancement in the series with 2x3... for a couple of reasons. 2x6 is another bump up. This is where they start layering in multiple plot threads. Possibly for the first time in the series, there are multiple burning questions in the mind of the viewer. 1. When are we going to see Spike and Drusilla again? 2. What murderous shenanigans are they going to get into? 3. Who the hell is Giles... really? 4. When are we going to see Oz again? 5. When and how are Oz and Willow going to meet? The series is steadily growing into one of the most original and involving series ever. EDITED to add. --> Very few shows were doing this kind of thing back when Buffy started. For many years now, MANY shows have been doing things like this. Buffy was a pioneer in television story-telling... along with other shows like Babylon 5, The X-Files, and Xena. The entire television landscape has been directly or indirectly influenced by these pioneering TV shows. They have influenced everything from Lost, to The Wire, to The Sopranos, to Game of Thrones.

Fortunately, I can tell you that... probably every single season of the Buffyverse will give you something that you love. Like everyone else, I'm sure you'll like some seasons better than others... but IMO... EVERY season of the Buffyverse is well-worth watching. With every season, it's really only a matter of whether it's worth watching 3 times (your least favourite seasons)... or over and over again for the rest of your life (your favourite seasons).

the monsters stay inside on Halloween because it's too cliche...think about it, the one night everyone dresses up like them...would you want to go out on that night if you were a vampire or demon. it's like irony 101. Drusilla is crazy but she also senses the future, so often things she says come true "everything is changing, inside to outside" and then you see what happens on Halloween... Ethan worships Chaos, he creates Chaos for the sake of it.

I agree that it made no sense for Buffy not to stake Spike in this episode, and I suspect she probably did in the original script. The writers clearly just didn't want to lose him as a character, but they could have done something to make it more convincing than just have her stand there while he ran off.

Not watched episode for while but i don't think she had clear shot at.staking spike at end plus she had to look out for innocents who were there like little kids so best she could do was keep him at bay and drive him off if she had got.into full on fight to death he may have got upper hand for second and then hurt or killed the other's. Spike's killed 2.slayers so he is not an easy stake he's also very strong for vampire.

Halloween was a good fun entertaining episode, but also containing some great reveals. Firstly anyone who thought Giles was this prim and proper bookworm Englishman better think again, yes he is of course this, but we are introduced to the interminable Ethan Rayne, and we first get to see Giles called 'Ripper'. Willow also has to come out of her sheepish ways and take control, we see her first outfit, and then revert to the ghost costume. Oz is gradually being introduced through his attraction to Willow. Buffy hams it up as the 'lady' from the past and it is great when she breaks free of the spell 'guess what Honey I'm home'. All in all you can see the episodes getting better and better as the Series progresses.

It normally mean being a bit rude but in a somewhat cute way, or a kid can be cheeky, talking back etc. If you say 'don't be cheeky' you mean don't do that but it's not a harsh comment. But you can use it in this context too, but saying what that actually means is tricky, 'quick' doesn't cover it, but I don't know what else will

Cheeky is like a ‘tease’ or being a bit ‘mischievous’ that’s the best way I can describe it. RJ did a good job
