Fringe was great, at least most of it. Only the last season lost me after a few episodes, that just didn't worked for me.

Anna Torv is actually Australian. You can see here acting with her natural accent in the recent very good Australian drama The Newsreader.

Fringe is an amazing series, with great acting. John Noble (Walter Bishop) creates a character which will constantly make you laugh...and slowly come to love him.

omg yess! first season is slow but stick with it! middle of season 2 is where it gets really good with the over arching plot

The comedy really is a must with shows like this; scary horror, sci fi horror elements, you need lighter elements to keep the audience in a good place, while watching the drama and scary parts.

Walter. Every fan favorite. We all loved that character from episode nr 1. One of my favorite shows. But you really have to focus 100% on every episode, so much happening, every episode. A hint, write down stuff while you watch, lots to see, hear and remember. It will help you in a long run, this show can confuse you at times because there really is a lot to take, for every episode. Most of those episodes are few minutes longer what regular "1 hour episodes", avg regular show is something like 42 minute run time, sometimes you can get like 50 min episodes of Fringe.

I adore Fringe. It is one of the thinkiest sci-fi shows out there, but it never makes you feel stupid. It is richly drawn and funny and sad and intriguing. Conflict ebbs and flows just like with real people. The characters are well-formed right from the beginning and no one feels cookie-cutter. Walter is a brilliantly played character. Equal parts insane, beyond genius level intelligent, broken, manic, and arrogant. Olivia, Peter, Charlie (who I adore), Broyles, and Astrid (the lady coming into the lab behind everyone) are so well-acted with amazing little nuances. Just a top rate cast I cannot say enough good things about. I even love the cow. Please do continue to watch it. The story arcs on this show are amazing. You won't be disappointed.

For a show that nails drama, intrigue, SF elements ... this is also a very very funny show. Comedy is next level.

You didn't mention Astrid (Walter's Igor assistant) or feature her in the clips. I haven't seen this show since it aired, comparable to "X-File" I think or some of the SyFy shows.

Fringe somehow reminds me of X-Files without taking years to move past the starting line. So a fast-past X-files without too many meaningless side stories. Actually, there are no actual side stories. Unless you consider character-building and backstories as side stories. So where do you know your sweetie from? The Mighty Ducks or something newer?

Oooh goodie, you are going to love this show. And no, you're not to thick to follow along with all the science-y stuff that goes on here. If I could follow it, you'll be fine. The way they have the floating text for the various locations was the first I'd ever seen of its type when this show first came out and I thought it was really cool. Some of the stuff (like on the plane at the beginning) can be stomach turning, but it's contrasted beautifully with Walter's personality. You will be horrified, but you will also laugh out loud.

It's funny you start this show now, because I just finished re-watching it, for the first time in several years, two days ago. If you ever feel like your too thick for it, don't worry. The first time I watched the show, I reached a point where I had no real clue what was going on anymore, and I tried to figure out when I lost the plot, and I couldn't do it. Back then I had no idea what this show was even about and I didn't always pay full attention to it, because I was doing some work or household chores while it was on. Since you are watching it for your channel I assume you will be able to give it your undivided attention, which should help. This show has several actors that I had seen in other shows/movies before and I gained a lot of additional respect for their acting watching them in Fringe. Hope you'll have fun with it and not be too grossed out by some stuff.

Don't get too attached to any of the major things they are foreshadowing. This show is very good at building up plots only to drop them and never answer questions. Frankly, I don't know why people love the show so much. I watched it and I thought it was okay at best.

@@Raptor213 (keeping it vague here, so no spoilers) A lot of those plot points you’re refering to were hinted at early on in season one but weren’t fully explored because the show was still trying to find its footing and identity. But it ultimately succeeded, and the story really came together beautifully, with a plot that has a clear beginning, middle, and end. What’s even more impressive is that *Fringe* wasn’t afraid to change, shift, and evolve into something different while still keeping the through line and main threat intact. In the end, it all made sense-with some room for interpretation left. To me it's a work of art that withstood the turbulent shift in the industry and its demands at that time.

No one’s fallen for anyone in this pilot. Sorry Daks 🤓 Broyles actor passed away, RIP. He was in John Wick, the hotel receptionist Joshua’s name is Peter. And he’s intelligent as well . I love all these characters. And then later another character comes in who’s my favorite after Olivia and Walter. Love Charlie too. Villains are great too

Thank you Thank you ❤ This is exactly what I needed to follow after the ending of Grimm and I just saw you also started The Expanse. Great times ahead all around. I just have one more show I hope you check out in the future and that is Farscape, if that happens some day, I can die happy 😂. Love it. You are going to love these shows, enjoy and I look forward to going on the journey with you. I love the Bishop boys, Olivia and Astrid, one of the best crews out there.

OMG, the TV show reaction gods have blessed us! First Buffy and Angel and now *Fringe*! This show is so intricate and unique-while it might start out with some X-Files vibes, it quickly evolves into something all its own. The concepts that get introduced later on will absolutely blow your mind, and trust me, the comedy aspects you enjoyed in the pilot don’t go away. Plus, you're going to fall in love with these characters. Thanks so much for diving into this one-I can't wait to see your reactions!

Love this show. Fringe is one of my favourite tv shows of all time along with Buffy and Angel. Loved it so much that when the final episode was shown in January 2013, Sky 1 did a simulcast at 1.10am of its broadcast on FOX in the US, and I set my alarm to wake me up to watch it. Fabulous main cast, fantastic stories, you're going to love it. Look forward to seeing more of your reactions to Fringe!
