I call "The Moment When Fans Realize How Much They've Come To Care About Cordelia" because most people tend to not like her in the first season, and two seasons later they're devastated about her "death" lol. It shows not only how much the character has evolved in those two seasons, but how much your feelings about her have evolved right along with her...

I wish it would have become a running gag in the series that demons unanimously adore Joyce and often visit her for motherly support, despite wanting to kill her daughter. And that it’d have culminated in a scene in an episode where Joyce was at risk from a demon, and all of Sunnydale’s demons band together to rescue her, and take her home safely.

It is heavily implied that the council thought very low of Giles, even before he became Buffy's Watcher. In fact, that is probably why they made him Buffy's Watcher. She was supposed to die quickly. You may recall the scene in Age of Ultron where Tony goes into the barn to work on the tractor and runs into Fury where, after a bit of back and forth, Tony says "you're not the Director of me". Recall that Ultron was written/directed by Whedon; that line is a direct callback to and/or stolen from Xander's line @05:55. There's arguably also a small callback to 3x8 from another Whedon thing, but I've no idea whether you've seen it and so shall keep silent. ;)

5 X 5 comes from military communications as a measure of signal strength and clarity, so 5 X 5 means a very strong signal that is absolutely clear, or "Perfect, Couldn't Be Better". It rapidly came to be used in that sense throughout the military. That's the sense Faith uses it in, though often very sardonically.

She still has the scar from that. * * A suggestion for some future viewing - The Owl House. It's an animated series about a 14-year-old girl named Luz Noceda, who doesn't have any friends at her school because they other kids think she's too weird & is obsessed with a magical book series - The Good Witch Azura. She ends up in a world with magic, witches, & demons makes friends as she's learning more about the world & magic. It's a lot of fun, has plenty of LGBTQ+ representation (Luz is bi & finds a girlfriend, but there's more than just the two of them). It was unfortunately cut short by Disney because they like to have shows that aren't as serialized as The Owl House was, so they can pick a random episode of it to air after their movies or specials and show it so anyone watching won't be lost if they're not regular viewers.

Revelations is an interesting episode as we get the gang finding out Angel is still alive, Willow and Xander contemplating an affair. It of course suits Xander to have Angel dead because even though he has Cordelia, and now nearly Willow, he is still madly jealous of Angel and Buffy and would drop both of those in an instant if Buffy wanted him. Great foreshadowing here again with Buffy and Faith. One thing about this show in particular is we have another English Baddie in Gwendolyn Post, along with Ethan Rayne, Drusilla and Spike etc. Faith referring to her as Mary Poppins was very funny. Another really good episode in S3 of which the quality of show improves leaps and bounds in a very near flawless Season.
@johncampbell7563 ай бұрын
Revalations: Buffy lied flat out when she said she was going to tell them as she told Angel she was never going to tell anyone. The gag reel has fun with Giles getting knocked out. Post wants people to think she isn't evil by being...a horrible bitch? "A word of advice, you're an idiot." That's neither a word (3) nor advice. Five by five is military speak for good signal strength or loud and clear. Buffy all too often excludes Faith. And Faith has technically lost two watchers and feels no one has her back. She serms to have been on her own (no family/friends) even with her first watcher. Lover's Walk: Spike. Spike and Joyce. Spike making faces to Angel behind Joyce. He's akso very insightful. 800 is a perfect score, 1600 total. 1430 is way too high for someone who all too often uses the wrong words and misses a lot of classes. Xsnder being surprised he is in Cordy's licker shows how seriously Cordy takes the relationship vs how Xander doesn't, and shows it time and time again with Willow. At least she has the excuse for being into Xander before this season. He just wants what he can't have. She keeps needing to stop him. There is no reason for Buffy and Willow to have been walking through the cenetary. Spike makes up for the Willow/Xander crap.

my man is back *swoon* the first episode is sad and awkward but also kinda fun. a bad watcher. i mean I bet it happens a fair amount honestly. and think about files, he was in the dark magic before. the second episode...well that's not fun. as much as I love seeing spike again. and I love love love his dynamic with joyce. they are great together. but this episode is so heartbreaking overall. everyone is in such a bad place at the end. i feel so bad for cordy and oz. but that scene with the funeral is the funniest fake out ever, its so good!

Yeah... the watcher going bad is the worst thing that ever happened in Buffyverse. And yeah, this slayer vs slayer is a pretty unique thing.

While it may come across as fictional gibberish - and it is most certainly mispronounced - the research team on Buffy really did their homework when it came to references to Ireland (and I'm assuming other cultures too) on Buffy. When Mrs. Post invokes the power of the glove, she cries out, "Tar chugam a chumhacht Myhnegon!", which is Irish-language/Gaelic for, "Come to me, power of Myhnegon". Lesser TV shows would have just made something up, I'm sure.

Without spoilers, unfortunately, her friends ganging up on buffy and Buffy apologizing to them at the end every time is… not gonna change.

Thank you! It always bothers me on the episodes where they gang up on Buffy because they really go in on her, and I’ve never felt it’s fair because she’s dealing with a lot the best she can. I’m not saying don’t hold her accountable but part of a conservation is hearing the other person, especially when you have no idea what they’re going through.

Great video, as always, you guys! 😊 Will ya'll be doing Angel as well? I hope so because it's pretty good, and it does have some crossover with Buffy.

Whenever you react to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, I suggest you watch the unrated cut, which is 101 minutes. I also suggest that you watch Repo first followed by TCM2, which will you get you in the mood to cap it off with House Of 1000 Corpses since all 3 star Bill Moseley as an unofficial Bill Moseley trilogy
