One of my favorite S4 eps. So many great moments in this one. I love Spike measuring the outside of the crypt when Giles walks by. And when they're in the car and Spike sees they're being followed and says, "Picked up a tail." And Giles responds, "Just a little one. Hurts when I sit." 😂

My favorite thing in this episode isn't even noticeable but once you do it's so good: if you listen when Giles gets back into the car after scaring Walsh, Spike is cracking up laughing off camera lol.

There was a question recently about who would win, Buffy vs. Spiderman and Spiderman consistently won. While Buffy does have some strength and instincts, Spiderman once lifted 10 tons and has his agility and spider-sense. However, many people pointed out that Spidey and Buffy wouldn't fight because they know they're on the same team.

Hmm. If Riley hadn't been there to Gitmo Ethan...what to do with him? The Slayer isn't concerned with normal human crime, but Giles once referred to the Slayer as "The judge of the underworld." Ethan has made multiple magical attempts at murder-twice involving children- and against both Buffy and Giles. Buffy has used deadly force against humans at least four times in extremis: the Zookeeper wannabe hyena, the order of Taraka assassin whose throat she slit, Mrs. Post... and of course Faith, which was completely premeditated. She would have been completely justified in summarily executing him. That would have been a harsh toke for an 18 year old Buffy (who STILL hasn't staked the much deserving Spike)and an interesting branch in the series.

Another almost too comedic episode! But it was fun especially where Giles chases Walsh down the street. Interesting juxtaposition with Giles having to seek the help of Spike. The Xander, Spike in the basement part painfully funny again. The body swops, personality swops, etc a current theme throughout the whole series for lots of characters. The interminable, yes interminable Ethan Rayne back again causing more havoc. A decent little episode and great fun.
